Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#21 - 60 Songs (July 26 - August 24, 2025)

Nostalgia sounds like a great pick for KOKIA.
Rainbow? Zodi? KAJIURA, IS IT JAPANESE ONLY OR NOT?
AND NOCTURNE WAS JOELLE'S
I TEARED UP
she didn't use her sweet voice, it was her mature motherly lullaby style I was DEAD
Aaah excellent. Yuriko and Kaori on harmonies?
destination and delete by EMIKO.
I thought it was a Joelle or Kaori song, considering it was performed back in vol 14. Intadasting.

Let me just complain about today's acoustics first because I think it was amongst the worst I've ever heard in a YKL. Though I'm not sure if it was just because of me being physically tired due to travelling/lack of sleep. The sounds on the higher ranges were so muddled or muted at times I didn't know what I was listening to, losing focus. The drums were overly heavy, they were distracting me from savouring the vocals with all those vibrations and loudness... :(

I don't think there were (enough) cameras around for future streams or BD release.

The stage was decorated pretty simply. Draping curtains at the top and at the back it's a ring of around 10? harp/door-shaped structures. I honestly expected more as this one is an important 60th celebration. Nothing special about lightnings either - at certain points they casted lights and shadows on the curtains and made patterns of crosses (x). I think YKL20's VFX was better and more elegant.

Utahime dresses were in black and silver. YK's costume is already shown on the newest live concert leaflet (check fj.com). Only Kaori and Yuri-ne have small red parts on their clothes. I'll draw them out in a moment.

***

black rose

It (as expected) was excellent as an opening song, the emphasis on percussions and rhythms at a live setting really added wildness and power to the already-energetic aura from Emiko. She's really a jumping disco ball shooting stars around. I wish she sang the melodies better though!

I and everyone around me were swinging our bodies. This song is a drug!

destination, 焔の扉 & ことのほかやわらかい

I hated that dude who blocked my view being the only person standing up in our area. 'Read the air' please!!!

Tobira was Emiko main + Kaori Yuriko harmonies. Destination too I think but my brain is not functioning right now so maybe not.

Edit: nvm I think tobira was Joelle main

nocturne

I was over the moon when Joelle took the stage :'( I KNEW it would be her! And she didn't disappoint me! Motherly loving lullaby. I did first imagine her singing in her girly sweet tone for this one but her mature lady style did fit the soothing and comforting feelings really well. It was dreamy and gentle, with golden and purple-ish lights flooding the stage, as if we were in a cradle. I didn't want it to end.

Rainbow〜Main theme〜

nostalgia

風よ、吹け

I decided to pick these YKL dates to attend because of KOKIA so of course I'm biased and loved her liquid crystal-like feathery voice everywhere :D

I wish they picked lost home instead of rainbow because I've already heard her rainbow live... :C

nostalgia and mune no yukue (and nocturne too probably) were critical attacks to my heart today. nostalgia, it has been quite a long while since I last listened to the original version, but if I had to compare FJY's to KOKIA's, Yuuka shaped the song like a narration of emotions/a story told, while KOKIA would be a child who actually lives in the story of this song herself. Sorry if these metaphors are too hard to understand... :x

I'll repeat myself:

I CANNOT EXPRESS THE JOY OF HEARING KOKIA'S NOSTALGIA she just brought me immediately into an innocent pure world of ancient tales and nostalgia I WAS SO SATISFIED AND TOUCHED

I could literally smell the sands and feel the winds. Wonderful wonder. Absolutely absorbed. It's so warm, yet so gently cool like flowing or drips of water.

風よ、吹け, I enjoyed it more this time than when I was at Kaji Fes. She's really really good at unrolling a song's scenery upon us. When azure lights swept over us I could feel the breeze and crisp air so clearly it made me so rejuvenated and refreshed.

引き出しで発光している aka glowing in the drawer

seiya, storytelling and even everlasting song came to my mind but there should be some other more-similar songs (I'm too tired to think rn).

Upbeat sunshiny ballad of encouragement and reflection and daily life - just my interpretation/feelings. No idea what the lyrics were.

Middle part reminded me a bit of the 'summer rain autumn pain' chorus section in storytelling.

Kaori's pitch control wasn't that good, or maybe it was bad acoustics, I couldn't really 'record' the melody of this song in my heart.

Sorry for the formatting I have 0 energy for it :ohoho:

I hope I can someday listen to KOKIA’s “nostalgia.” @MushiMushi did you spotted cams? 🤣

I like seiya and everlasting song but I can’t help feeling a bit underwhelmed about KAORI’s new song. Maybe ballads just aren’t my thing.
But hey, maybe once I listen to it, it’ll surprise me and I’ll end up loving it, like I love “Kimi ga Hikari…” or “”Mizu no Akashi”.

Luna Haruna and Shuri went to the concert 🥰

Today I'm going to Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.# 21〜60 Songs〜 I was invited into the world of my beloved Kajiura-san and was enveloped in beautiful harmonies and tones It was a time when I was reminded once again of how wonderful music is, something that always accompanies me. I talked a lot with Shuri on the way there and back Music is truly profound and precious

Your drawing is very cute (you even have a character representing you; do you draw stories?) and I look forward to comparing this to the eventual live footage/photos.

Everyone is dressed as expected in your drawing, or as they've done in the past.

Joelle tends to be dressed as a classic stage diva with a bit of intricacy to her attire (she cannot escape Elizabeth), and both Emiko and LINO as the youthful and energetic ones. Kaori has often been dressing more conservatively (which always contrasted with Keiko's more youthful presentation, even with the ages being in reverse). Yuriko is the active aunt, and KOKIA is just floating by, like a visitor from an enchanted land.

Thanks for the compliment! I drew stories when I was a child but not anymore. Now I make stories through music when I'm in the mood:w00t:.

My character (a little caterpillar, but not really a realistic one with its legs w) does have a bit of a background though!
I first drew it when I was 14 after a biology lesson on photosynthesis. Around a year later I stumbled upon a short story written by YK in her ancient times and there's a little bug in it searching for a piece of treasure (love). Around the same time my roommate in my boarding house gave me a nickname 'wormie' after she saw me curling up in my blankets.
From then onwards I've been making my buggie as my avatar across all communities about YK, and eventually it just became my avatar completely everywhere.
History! (I'm in my late twenties now. How nostalgic to talk about this.)
