She busts through them! 👻I'm pleased to see her take charge and not be squeamish about her own work. Kalafina has some of her favorite songs for crying out loud. 😁
I don't tend to think about 'replacement' because for every single song each performance is unique and precious in their own ways!
I love that sentiment and I fully agree. Having great vocalists who are available performing a well-written song and, do it justice, is always a treat. The original is never affected or diminished by the existence of covers.

I mean, as an example, Sawano has preformed versions of some of his really popular AoT and other songs with alternate vocalists from the original multiple times.

I would personally like to hear Forestella covering some of Kajiura's music, just for the next-level harmony potential!
 
Yeah. professionally, It doesnt make sense to not perform a song because the original singer is not there.
Unfortunately in a professional world, everyone is replaceable. No matter you like it or not.

EDIT (before i hurt somebody's feeling): replacable in a sense that other people can sing it.

JUNNA did (at least per @Azokad's twitter investigations ) aikoi, Umi to Shinjuu and koikogare.

ASCA did Hibari, Yakou Toryo ?and I guess Kioku no Mori (or parts of it?). I'm only guessing as I did not look into it on twitter.

I really like "Hibari". It just hits the sentimental/nostalgic spot for me, especially with the melodic movement from the verse to the pre-chorus and culminating in the chorus. And that flute solo takes it to another level.

Now I wonder how Emiko would take it if she did a cover.

I found nothing about Kioku no mori, but it seems ASCA performed nowhere (as in the Kajifest).

That's what I had assumed about "nowhere" at first but then it was here again on JUNNA's day and Kioku no Mori was misssing...

Anything about nowhere on JUNNA's day?

I kid but at the same time... I feel like we never did get live nowhere with all of Nishina's vocalizing...

Anyways, even though I think I would've preferred more new songs this is all pretty cool new shakeup in vocal distribution then.

What Japanese songs do you think KOKIA could sing in her live? @Lorde-Kowz

Like I'm trying to think of songs that aren't slowish or piano ballads, 'cause I'm sure she would do great with Kai or Sekai no Hate but it's also kind of expected.

I can't really think of any Yuuka, Saeko, FJ or See-Saw songs that would feel like a great fit (which I guess is exciting in itself if it happens). Actually, scratch that, I can hear in my head Kokia singing Yuuka's "Hitomi no Kakera". Hmm. Actually I'd want that.

If Kalafina is not off limits then I guess "lirica" would be most welcome. (Though I previously wanted Joelle to give it a go. XD)
 
Many things could have happened maybe something bad happened to someone in her family / in her relationship and she was in shock, maybe she has headache, or whatever.

I don’t really care to be honest. It’s just there was a cute moment where Kaori looked at her understanding the situation and went and sang with her like a big older sister. And I still prefer Emiko to be honest. Hahaha.
I remember Joelle sang Maybe Tomorrow in #16 live and she forgot the lyrics but I still love her.
Or worse, Wakana, she forgot her the lyrics of her song and had to repeat many times and she paused like for a long time. The dead air was quite long.
Normal for singers. 😆
