Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#21 - 60 Songs (Jul 26 - Aug 24, 2025) (BD on Jan 21, 2026)

Does anyone know if they have started to ship out the regular edition? I ordered both version using Rakuten and a proxy, the limited edition arrived at the warehouse like 2 weeks ago but still no trace of the regular edition. đź‘€

Only got the Limited pack so no idea about Regular, but CDJ seems to state the regular one ships within 2 days (and has 6 remaining in stock).

probably not the best place to ask this but

the successful yuuka covers are only done by rito who did a great job in kouya ruten and nowhere. sad to see her gone. anyway do we know what happened to that one song rito recorded with keiko and yuriko (maybe kaori too)? or was that one got rerecorded by leia and become lighthouse or that boring new kaori song?

my opinion about joelle is the same as usual: she's a soloist through and through, she always follows her own groove, and her takes on kajiura songs i personally almost never liked. i said she wasn't a good fit for fj but now fj is practically soloists singing solo songs with live harmonies so i guess she's now right at home.

whenever i remember all these practically unlistenable yuuka covers i always thank God for the existence of fjy live vol. 4 part 1. immediate ear cleanse
Yeah, I guess we still see this differently. Joelle is still one of the best pure vocalists Kajiura has ever brought to the regular roster, in my opinion.

Joelle just didn’t make the correct choice for this song and, someone may disagree with that assertion and think this was the best version! So different strokes, really.

Everyone of Kajiura’s singers has been ”soloistic” and focused on their self expression at times during lives, and I mean everyone.

If I was to speak to some of your points, I could concede that singers that started out with relatively long and stable solo careers before joining FJ may be able to more frequently and fully switch their voices to their comfort zone and more distinctly stand out in solo sections than the long-standing Kajiura ladies who only really started with Kalafina or FJ (many of whom have faced challenges in the solo world finding their voice or locking down a successful formula).

Kajiura started with Chiaki who was (and remains) a strong solo singer and artist with a distinct vocal worldview. She’s no chorus singer.

I trust and accept Kajiura’s choices in the vocalists she has desired to work over the years, for the different reasons she chose them.

When you say “successful” how do you mean? rito sings less delicately than Yuuka and with a fuller tone in the low range, and, of course, their timbres are different. Is the main metric about not straying too far from the original? I’m genuinely curious 🤔

The strongest/ most memorable covers of Yuuka’s songs, for me, are (yes, I agree) rito’s “kouya ruten” and Emiko’s “Destination”. I have gone back to them multiple times and I listen to the nuances in how they started and went through the songs.

Honorable mention: YKL 16s “Kioku no Mori” led by Kaori.
