Truthfully i'm not sure if it was 7,6 or 5 year ago -.-
But i know it was after i entered high school, which means 7 years i max XD

The whole story begun long time ago.. way back in my childhood when when i watched lots of cartoons (well anime mostly - i was really picky at that time already o.O)

Well after big brake and after finally realizing that its called anime (and not anima (its the fault of our newspapers <.<)) - that was in fact the biggest obstacle on my way finding Kajiura X3 i steped in anime/manga world, met lots of people talked with them etc and than i started talking with someone who invited me to the amateur dub group, i accepted the invitation. So i went, had lots of fun and listened to a lot of Japaneses music (which was more or less the first for me - counting off the Dragon ball OP/EDs and Captain Tsubasa OP/EDs (my love for DA PUMP comes form there XD)) and some of them were catchy enough for me to want them (now in that time i didn't really had my own MP3 or CD player - but i wanted it anyway XD) so i asked him to burn CD for me... he putted a lot of stuff (mostly OP/EDs) and .hack//SIGN OST on it.
I listed the CD from the beginning to end, but for some reason after finishing it i got stuck in that hack//SIGN folder XD . So i exchanged few latter's with another guy (the one that invited me also burned the CD, but someone else drived me there and i talked to him about this) and he told me that of course i got stuck since hack//SIGN was done by the famous aunty Yuki Kajura (and since i said i'd love to play some of the songs) and you can find bunch of music sheets on internet...
try here:
http://www.google.com/search?q=yuki+kaj ... nscription
And ever since i was alerted when seeing "Yuki Kajiura", "Kajiura Yuki" (i got alerted at 梶浦由記 much later <.<) so that is how the story ends... well it will when i'll posses every single CD where at least one of Kajuras songs is on (its gonna be pain in the ass with Swimmer single release <.<)
Oh and those are also the only 2 guy i knew (until not so long ago) that like Kajiura as well X3 (aside from bunch of girls <.<)

haha Yuki's magic power :dote:

what a story x)
hey you seem to know people who like Yuki >_< how luckyyy you are...
will you invite them to join us ? xD

most of them just like her, not adore her... and even more all the music they actually have from her is the one they got from me (as in "Hey Chibi gimme some music" and i give them 20 links out of which at least 5 are Kajiuras albums XD)
OR
the are computer geeks totally ignorant to all online communities.
OR
i lost contact with them
OR
"Lol.. yeah yeah.. i know your Yuki-whateva freak, but i'm not. Great music, but whateva"
OR
etc <.<

I really doubt any of them would feel comfortable here since non of them is a really big fan -.-
Though maybe i'll manage to make one of them to come here :ayashii:

omg all my friends do that to me too T__________T even when i send her so many of yuki's great masterpieces

Well i met Yuki around 2002 thanks to Noir anime, really liked the music, a memorable ost. Then i watched .hack and thought the music was kinda similar. So i investigated and found who did the music, and got some more of her works, Then in 2005 i got more obsessed and downloaded everything i could related to her and introduced a friend to her music and he loved her work a lot too. I don't watch anime nowadays, but i get all the ost's she is involved in.

I dont undestand.... since the music is great whats the point of that "whateva" ?, when someone's music is great you listen to that person's music more and more,, you become fan of him/her, you dont try to avoid him/her music

well i think that Kawaii Kenji's, Iwasaki Taku's, Mark Mancina's, Kanno Yoko's, Kasamatsu Kouji's, Onogawa Hiroyuki, etc... music is great to, but i'm not obsessively collecting it neither am i following the news even less participate in any fandom.

Just because you think ones music is great doesn't mean that you'll purposely search for it and try to be part of the fandom.

I admit i'm stalking quite a few other names as well but Kajura's fandom is the only place where i actually participate. So why should i force others to do something that i'm (and most likely you as well) not doing?

hm I dont really understand the connection of my quote with your question but , yes , I like classical music - but not of the classical musicians like Beethoven Vivaldi etc- I like the new classical music , which also has other instruments too I like Yuki's music Yasunori Mitsuda's xenosaga tracks and Fukasawa HideYuki's Bakumatsu OST

The link is that you said:

and and you also said:

Although this is great music, but you didn't become fan of Beethoven -_-'

Well... his music is great but it doesnt excite me enough to become fan of him. After all it is played everywhere (along with other 18 - 19 century composers's music) in car advertisements, metro stations, live performance in the TV, radio, plus that in Greece you can easily get his Cds by buying newspapers that sell them free together with the newspaper (along with other DVDs CDs and stuff to increase their sells). Not to methion that he has died long ago (so there is no possibility to speak to him etc).

( there is something there that i dont know how to say it)

P.S: Two years ago I had to learn his life details to write for the exams (and that really pissed me of) of the "Music" a wrongly teached subject where instead of learning Notes (do re mi etc) or how to play an instrument you have to learn how Beethoven and the other composers died , why, and what happened then :twitch:

I am pretty sure that the person who was teaching us Music that year knew nothing but the notes and the whole book by heart - no knowledge of playing musical instrument. Generally its our educational system's fault that the teaching of that lesson is like that .If they were caring they would had musical instrument lessons in every instrument each student wants - just like they do in japan, its not random that music rises like that in that country.

Same here. only that our last teacher knew a lot of stuff and she did have a great voice. (She also was VERY egocentric and whimsical.) My first music teacher was...well..almost all the time drunk XD

Wow...this is an interesting topic for me..lol. Like Zuiyon, I fell in love with many songs in Gundam SEED without knowing that those songs are composed by Yuki. I collected many works of See-Saw and FictionJunction during that times. I think it's about one year later that I my friend introduce Tsubasa Chronicle OST for me and I found the info in the scans that these songs are composed by Yuki Kajiura, and she's also the composer of many songs that made me addicted in Gundam SEED, Noir, Mai-Hime and more....XD.... I started searching her works and the more songs I listened..., the more love to her songs....

For me...Yuki's song isn't sth that I love at first listening...(I dedicated this sentence to YUUKA's voice..when I heard her 'Akatsuki no Kuruma' in Gundam SEED..XD), because I love her songs before I know that she composed those songs... Amazingly, during collecting bulk of her works, I realized that many of my favourite works before I know her, both lyrical and nonlyrical music, are also her works..., so I'm always said that I was born to be addicted in Yuki's music..lol.

Unlike most people here, I didn't become interested in Kajiura-san's music by watching the anime that she composed music for.
Back in tenth grade I had made a new friend, and she was a fan. When I asked her if she could recommend me some nice songs, she sent me stuff like "I talk to the rain" and "Ship of Fools" (I knew her name thanks to Gendou lol). I had a good time listening to those songs, but then my interest faded for a while (I was caught up in the Vocaloid craze, I think).

A few months ago, however, the same friend (who is one of my best friends now :XD: ) linked me to "sprinter"- I fell in love with the song within the first ten seconds. After finding out that the group was called Kalafina, I wiki-ed them- and discovered that the composer of those awesome songs was none other than Kajiura-san! After I learned this, I started listening to more of her beautiful music ^^.

Wow, I'm even more obsessed with her this time around! :XD:

You made me remember my Visit to China where-in I meet a Younger cute version look-a-like of Kajiura Yuki.

I had a crush on her for once.
To conclude that Beauty lies in the ears of the beholder.

:sohappy: :sohappy: yes I was destined to love Yuki's music me too :sparkleguy:

woooohh wintersviolet! sprinter is a good song indeed =D
have you watched the Kara no Kyoukai movies ?

Nope, I haven't!
I should though! It'll help me gain more of an understanding of her songs, right? ^^
