Hey people, tell us your story and how you met her !

I discoverd Yuki by anime, and mostly by Gundam Seed. The first time I heard her was with canta-per-me xD (it was fate haha !) a friend told me to listen to it, I fell on it directly, but at that time, I didn't knew that the author was Yuki-sama.
Then I watched .hack//sign, the story was so boring that I was completely attentive to the music... I discovered "key of the twilight" "tasogare no umi" and "yasashii yoake" ! I didn't pay much attention to See-Saw, I just learned the name...
Afterwards, I watched Gundam seed and seed destiny ; it was the revelation !! O___O I begin to really love music because I discovered great songs such as "Life goes on", "Anna ni issho datta no ni", "Akatsuki no kuruma", "mizu no Akashi" and then "Shinkai no kodoku" "Kimi wa boku ni niteiru" (See-Saw again ?!) whithout knowing that the composer of those songs was the same person !

So after that, I begin to be really interested in music and begin to search other songs of those artists, but I was on a wrong track because I was searching with the singer's name (and not with the composer's... =____= ) So I listened to Houko Kuwashima's albums, it was japanese traditional music... I was very disapointed, it was not what I expected ( beliving that she was the author of Shinkai no Kodoku lol !)
Then I discovered See-Saw, and that was a great surprise which lead me to Yukiiii ^o^ !!
Finally, I discovered (very lately) that a lot of songs I like in gundam was composed by her but sang by many different artists ! It was like a divine revelation xD
I began with the whole noir ost (where I find again canta-per-me ! I was not used to listen to instrumental songs) and the album Fiction ! ahhh that was the good time xD
Today, I'm still discovering her songs, because I don't want know them all otherwise I'll be bored of having no new songs...

So I was really aware of her for 3 or 4 years !
Now tell us your stories =p

First of all, Yuki was born in 1965 (so 1965 + 5 + 30 + 8 to reach 2008 so she is 43 years old, young for a woman who has composed Soundtrack for all these anime + many songs (and keeps on), so because she was born in 1965 its impossible to know her before she was born

I discovered her with tsubasa chronicle that my brother had downloaded, it was awesome on both music , story, messages and plot but especially the music, I was listening to the soundtrack for 6 months when I decided to search for the artist's name in google and I found the noir soundtrack and then the anime itself, other time I found a pack with various works by Yuki and then when I was searching for "Yuki Kajiura" again I found the videos that Kerahna had uploaded and I asked her to send it to me so she have me her email address and while we were talking she told be about her site and here I am (I first thought that Kerahna was Arabian or sth because of the nickname , then French because of the real name, the Canadian because of the living country and at last Chinese - You have changed many skin colours eh? -)

Note: the upper didnt happend in one day

I first heard it on internet radio stations that played .hack songs, and also Noir (i don't know which first) and I downloaded the soundtracks but didn't pay attention to who wrote them.

Then, the Xenosaga II trailer came out!! (I was following the XS series because I bought the first game randomly because it was on sale) The music they used was the Image Theme which made me drop my jaw and i googled for who wrote it and found the name Yuki Kajiura! <3

Then i noticed that she was also see saw and fictionjunction and i did more research and grew kind of obsessive XD Then this site was born and allowed me to meet more fans of Yuki it is all so exciting~~~~ <3

I met Yuki's music 3 years ago, when a friend sent to me "A song of Storm and Fire". I got impressed, it was the most beautiful song I'd never listened to.
Then I asked my friend for more songs and she sent me Canta per Me and Salva nos. After that I started to find out things about Yuki, it was exciting to discover every new song and soundtrack and amazing animes like Noir or Madlax. Thanks to Yuki I discovered my favourite music group also (See-Saw) and my favourite videogame (Xenosaga Episode III)

It was 7 years ago? (or six?)

I watched .hack//SIGN, I was into the story, that it was really unique, phylosopical, and touching...
I noticed that music is VERY VERY special. (at the time, my fave musician was Yasunori Mitsuda).
Then came the scene, where

*SPOILER*

Maha died protecting Tsukasa

*end of spoiler*

Where Open your Heart was played.
That song, has opened my heart to Yuki. Then I tried Noir. Again The story is very good and the music is VERY VERY strong.
Since then I am hungry of her and collected every bit of her I could reach, and then I become a Hater for Yasunori Mitsuda

Please remove that spoiler, there are people here who havent watched hack//SIGN yet and want to watch it (me). Stop saying parts of the story it is not-so-good thing its as if I am telling you what will happen in your 50th year of your life (if its bad you are going to commit suicide from today and if its good you will be so relaxed that a truck will probably crash on you so you will die again)

Anyway avoid spoiling , there are people out there that really dont like that. ( Well.... I dont really bother because hack//SIGN was boring ( I was nearly sleeping at some points) and till I decide to continue watching it (I am stuck at episode 12) I will have forgotten your spoilling)

By the way, have you watched Madlax, It has a VERY good plot, it also contains Yuki's music and it "sends" nice messages to the audience and makes it think, Its also phylosophical and way less boring than .hack//SIGN
Also play very good seiyu(s) like Houko Kuwashima (Vocalist of Yuki - sings Sihnkai not Kodoku and others)

That's why I have spoiler warning...you should be aware of it. :/

and I have watched Madlax... it is good. I won't say .hack SIGn is boring... just becasue there isn't action, doesn't mean that the anime is boring.

hehe don't read faster than your brain can decipher or you might miss a spoiler warning ;)

I have an idea (inspired by Zuiyon), maybe we can put spoilers in white color so it's harder to see, and you can highlight it if you want to read it~

like this :3

I havent watched madlax or .hack! I'm such a LOOOSERRRRR ahahaha
Spoilers for those are useful for me because i probably won't be watching them for a looooong time and it's good to know about the usage of these songs i listen to so much!

ehm I just think that in some photos she looks older that she is while in some others younger ^^;

Generally i dont think that she is going to visit every single country of her different fan and make a concert (ony if someone is lucky this will happen), WE are the ones who should go to Japan and visit her

JEJE You are right ^^

BUT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo EXPENSIVE >.<

Go to japan ka ? hmmm yea one dayyy...but Illusion is going to japan :wai:

I've met her back in 2001, with Noir fansubs, and i was all :hearts: for many reasons, i loved that anime, at that time it was one of the first anime to have resolution and encode of that quality (and the animation itself was pretty good too), and icing on the cake, music was soooo gorgeous and fit perfectly with the anime. It was like love at first hear :dote:
Then i searched information on the composer, and the rest is like a long love story >_>

Yeah! Tinba's right, the Yuki's music fits perfectly to the animes... and other composers that I heard doesn't are so good in that... :dote:

The first time I met Yuki was in September 2002, I was at my cousin's house and she was listening to a CD which contained assorted anime songs, among these were "canta per me" and "Salva nos". As Kylie Minogue says, "It was love at first sight". :sohappy: :blood:

Since that mystical and predeterminated by the stars encounter, I became obssesive and wanted to know everything about the composer, and at that point I found out my beloved shrine: kajiura.fr :dote: I owe to Tiñba & co. everything, without them I couldn't be the fan I am by now :sohappy: (although the site is in french, it isn't imposible to a spanish-speaking person to understand =).

waah xD yea you already knew tinbaaa x3

love at first sight !
it's more : love at first listening ! x)
