Hi everyone, I have been thinking about doing this for way too long...so I'm just gonna go for it now.
My name is Trond, I'm 27 years old from Norway. I play drums (sometimes) and guitar (almost never),
I like to run and love music and playing games.

My interest for Yuki Kajiura's music started in 2007.
After playing Xenosaga II and III I had to know who made the music for them, Yuki's music did so much for those games.
It's kinda funny because at that time I was mostly listening to metal, but after playing Xenosaga III Yuki's music started
to take more and more over.
I also began listening to more japanese music in general.
Yuki Kajiura isn't the first japanese artist I listened to but she is the reason why I mostly listen to japanese music today.
The music she makes is just the best ever i think. 8D :goodjob:

Hello T-kun!! You are the first from Norway I think!! Welcome, hope you will enjoy your stay!
make sure to check this page for other anime and other projects she has composed OSTs for https://canta-per-me.net/discography-per-project/

Yes, Kajiura's music is like a virus, once it enters in your ears it gradually kills other musics you have heard so far and at its peak you listen to no other composer for some months :XD:

Welcome to the forums @T-rond! Good to have someone from Norway joining us :w00t:

I totally agree with you George! :XD:

welcome to cpm! :V:
do you listen to mainly her soundtracks or Kalafina/FJ works?

ahh I've been to Norway a few times : ) it's really beautiful in the mountains there

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone, i'm glad i finally did this.
^ Welcome T-rond! Have you been reading the forum as a lurker for a while?
Yes i've been around for a while now, but my lurking days are over now.

I've been coming here for years now whenever i want to know something about YK's music, i can find many things i want to know here.
I really like reading the translations of lyrics because i don't undestand japanese, some of Yuki's songs feel like poetry when i read them in english.
And another great thing about her music is that theres so much of it and i love it all.
I'm still finding songs i haven't heard yet, there's just no end.:V:

mmm...just Oslo and somewhere in the mountains? I can't remember the name of the place... somewhere sort of close to Besseggen because we did go there once (though only my parents and uncle hiked it :P)

welcome! I remember being so mad when they said yasunori mitsuda wasn't going to do XS2, and then I heard the trailer music for XS2 and was stunned :O Then I found out it was Yuki who was composing and decided to start stalking her musics seriously. I had seen her name before from Noir and gundam seed, but XS2 is what really brought me into my obsession.

Your home sounds like a beautiful place, you must show us some pictures some time!

Welcome to the forum! I can relate as I too was a lurker for sometime but shame on me I never really did formally introduce my self.

Welcome to CPM! looks like you've been also a fan for a long time. :hi:

Welcome! That is interesting about Xenosaga, as it is the first I've seen that someone said they started liking from that. (Did not know about you Kera! heh) I love that music too. Godsibb probably is my favorite of course, but I like Abel's Ark so much, and Jr. heh I love all of her works so if you have any questions feel free to PM me or ask here. My name is Liana btw. Hmm Norway. I never considered going there but maybe now after hearing about the mountains! Hope you like it here, though I think you do already. :dote:

:w00t: Hello and thanks again for the warm welcome.

Oh wow its so nice to see that someone else got interested in YKs music thanks to Xenosaga. I remember when I bought Xenosaga II, I was just randomly looking for games when I found it.(yes it was the first one I got because here in europe we only got Xenosaga II because BLABLABLA TOO LONG STORY THE END!:bloodlust:) Just from the cover it looked like a fun game and it was the last copy they had, so I just went for it. I'm really glad I did that or else I probably would have never heard about Yuki Kajiura, her music has had such a big impact on me.

I actually have a photo from last week, we had a really beautiful sunset here.
It was taken from the kitchen window...I can take some more photos from around here with mountains as well if you'd like.:ayashii:

Btw witch YK song would you like to listen too while watching a sunset like this?
I often think about her music when I see things like this.
Is there a thread here where we can post landscape/nature photos and link YK songs to them? If not could we start a thread like that...maybe? :ayashii:

You see, pictures like that are why I've always wanted to visit somewhere in the Scandinavian area. Still not sure whether I'd go to Norway, Sweden or Finland (yeah I know it's not 'true' Scandinavia), though.

Welcome to CPM though, more Kajiurans is generally a good thing. I've always wanted to play Xenosaga but never got round to it.

Welcome to CPM! Enjoy your stay here :sohappy:
Europeans' kajiuran sect is growing bigger everyday. We'll conquer the worl- :punched:
