Right. I guess this forum is more interested in Japanese composer/singers than western or other eastern artists. Naturally :)
I was going to do Noriyuki Iwadare but I chose Yasunori Mitsuda:

Yasunori Mitsuda (光田 康典 Mitsuda Yasunori?, born January 21, 1972) is a Japanese composer, musician, and sound producer noted for his score work for video games. He has composed music for or worked on over 40 games, and has contributed to many other projects. He is best known for his compositions for the video games Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Mario Party, Chrono Cross, Xenosaga Episode I, Soma Bringer, Shadow Hearts, Inazuma Eleven, and Soul Sacrifice.

Hands down Chrono Trigger, Xenogears and Xenosaga I soundtracks are on the top. Chants, celtic music, action-based orchestral music(synth or real) are his forte. Although there is some decline to the quality of his music these days (imo), undeniably he is one of the best video game music composers out there. In fact, before Kajiura, there was Mitsuda for me. (one didn't replace the other though!)

I highly recommend Chrono Trigger Symphony Volumes as well. There are many fan arrangements and many of them are well done.
The reason I chose him is that I had a chance to listen to Kuroshitsuji Book of Circus. Some of the tracks are really nice and pleasant to listen to but is not even close to his earlier works in terms of greatness. His baroque and chanty spirit seems to be on the rise in this soundtrack. Wish for more!
 
He also has an album called Kirite.

About your first line, a huge amount of our members is either Asian or Asian amaerican/Australian so I guess that's why, and sadly Greek composers are mostly known only inside the country and Cyprus...

I also recommend Kirite too. You can go to vgmdb and see all the arrangements with ratings, most of the time.
 
I love his music very much. He is one of my favourite ACG musicians in Japan, not second to Kajiura san, XD
Xenogears arranged album “CREID” is regarded as representative work in his early career. It's a masterpiece.

I think he did a good job in "Kuroshitsuji Book of Circus"though he is major in game music. I've bought this ost album and listening to it these days,LOL.

^ I really liked his circus - related themes in that soundtrack but the intense ones werent as intense as I would have expected. Does anyone know if there will be 2nd ost for Kuroshitsuji 3 since that was too small XD

Creid is a beauty :) Mitsuda did most of the music for Chrono Trigger, some by Nobuo Uematsu (another composer for a new post) and one other but I can't remember.
 
^ Nobuo Uematsu is covered in the Final Fantasy thread. (I wonder if we have a Kenji Kawai thread yet?)
 
I don't know but vgmdb lists it so I'm sure a soundtrack exists nonetheless. Maybe a short tracklist?
 
^ a single 25 mins episode cant possibly have more than 10 tracks, so maybe a mini soundtrack. vgm lists it as bonus with the dvd/bd.

edit: Aniplex/Sony is even more evil when it comes to kuroshitsuji: They are releasing 6 bd/dvds (2eps/each?) for book of circus, and 2 bd/dvds for book of murder (dunno how many they will be but surely more than 1. ost comes with the first. http://www.kuroshitsuji.tv/bd-dvd/

the soundtrack may include unreleased tracks from Book of Circus too?

Sony is getting greedier and greedier.
 
^ I didnt spot any but I when I watched it I had the impression that they were more than it was in the CD. It can have, who knows. OR they could release some short of "Books of" BOX collection like they did for Kuroshitsuji II and include them there

btw reason why Yasunori composed for it is probably because the manga is released by Square Enix and he works at their games/albums.

actually he left Square Enix a long time ago. but there is no reason why he wouldn't work for them I guess.
