Why do you like and/or what do you like about Yuki's music?

I love how she creates wonderful violin solos alongside techno sequences. But, maybe what I like the most from her music is how she uses human (to be honest, women) voice as an instrument. By using the Kajiurago, the voice of her vocalists in many songs sound like an indispensable instrument, in a very ethereal way. I think Hepatica (KOS-MOS) illustrates what I'm trying to say the best.

Hmmmm, the first thing Kajiura's song strikes me is the rich harmonies of the music. I started with FJ lives so this also includes vocal harmonies (and of course the girls vocal ability). Nice combination of string, piano and electronic guitars/bass, rich chorus makes it very appealing to me.

If there is one thing I wish Yuki can do more: Cellos.I really wish there is an instrument (other than the bass) does low part of the songs. [And it goes in complement with violins]

In my favorite Yuki songs, I love how rich the music is, with the violins, vocal harmonies, atmospheric feel, and layers of different things going on all at once.

I use to like her originality. :D
Now she's no longer original. :D
So I hate plain ol' dislike her. :D

The reason why i love yuki kajiura works is because i happen to cross her
music Himeboshi when i was in time of great sadness and sorrow.
Her music brought light to my darkened life and showed me the path of
light. Therefore i love her music as it has the power to heal people and
allow to believe that faith and hope still exist in our world :D
Thank you Yuki kajiura and All ure wonderful vocalist <3

Kajiura's music, like many Japanese artistic productions, seems to me to adhere to a sort of emotional universalism. It has a pathological appeal much like that of ancient tragedy, Britten's 'Curlew River', or a Keystone Kops sketch. It takes a very specific and usually quite basic emotion or series of emotions and puts it into the form of music.

At least, that's my experience. I don't know if Kajiura as a powerful emotional experience exists for most other fans or if it is just a few of us.

What I like of Kajiura's music because it's scaring me.
Serious.
I am one of the people who love scary music and mysterious with dark tone.
(that's what my first impression of oblivous)

But when I heard more of Kajiura's music, I love it because it's just different with other's music. And she dares to explore with unusual type of music~~ :shy: :shy:

What really brought me to this gorgeous woman is her rich use of voices as instruments. Most singers or composers only use their voice as "vocals". But Kajiura Yuki is able to use her vocalists efficiently to make their background vocals act as their own specific instrument, separated from the main vocals. A noted moment would be in Honoo no Tobira, towards the middle, when the voice of Yuriko Kaida is in the background singing the Kajiura-go while YUUKA sings the main vocal "Sore wa tooi yakusoku natsukashii koe furueru mune wo douka sasarete my dear". I just thought it was the most amazing thing that happened, and my best friend from the Island of Jamaica reminded me of this a while back.

Although Kajiura Yuki is not the only composer to apply usage of "fake language", I believe her use is special, since it seems to make sense in some way. Such as in Kalafina's ARIA, "salaria mia kosoledia solteribia deltaaaa.. salaria mia solteribia maltia bidakooo", this phrase is repeated again and again throughout the song as if there is some sort of meaning. IN my opinion, these phrases are the ARIA that is being discussed in the song. There is such power and meaning behind these words even though she claims that they have no target-able meaning. In most songs, whenever artists utilize "fake language", it's most often incomprehensible and hard to imitate. However, Kajiura Yuki's are very catchy and fun to sing along with.

That is my reason for following this woman.

I'm not sure I can really describe why I love Kajiura-sensei's music, but I can try :desksweat:

The first song I heard was fairytale by Kalafina, and it literally gave me chills! I fell in love with their voices and I had to hear more. I bought Seventh Heaven, listened to it all and loved most of the songs (if not all of them) but I didn't really wonder why they were so gorgeous! But after a while I started listening to more of Kajiura-sensei's music, and I realized that the beauty wasn't restricted to Kalafina songs.

Anyway, the more I listened to Kajiura-sensei's music, the more I found wonderful songs. I think the reason why I fall in love with them, whether the song is Salva Nos, or Mizu no Akashi, or even just Innocent Days, that sweet little piano piece from Rekishi Hiwa Historia, is that there is a huge amount of emotion in every piece. Salva Nos is filled with passion and movement - Mizu no Akashi has sadness and hope - and Innocent Days gives you an intangible bittersweet feeling. Even though Kajiura-sensei may use some similar arrangements and chord patterns (if that's the right term) at times, the emotion in her music is so intense and focused that I can't help but love almost every piece of hers I hear. When I saw her playing the piano live, I realized that she truly loves music, and that she puts that feeling into every note of music she makes, no matter what. She spoke to my heart right away, from the first strains of fairytale, and I think that's the reason why I love her music.

Sorry if I was a little dramatic :sohappy:

What probably attracted me to her music is the common usage of not just your standard instruments you see used today in music. I mean most music today is either completely synthesized, standard guitar bass and drums, or complete orchestral. I like the way she tends to not always create music that fits into the "popular genre" but always seems to fit whatever she is composing for.

I find that Yuki's musics are touching and emotional. you can fell the feeling of the songs through its rhythm and lyrics.
And Yuki also accompanied by great vocalists. :sparkleguy:

hmm.. anyone agree with me? :ayashii:
