@wat11 I know right, they're both gorgeous. I loved the original NieR so I was expecting Automata to be great as well, but damn they really knocked it out of the park this time. I love when games have multiple arrangements for each piece of music and Automata does that a lot, it's wonderful.

Have you heard the Drakengard 3 OST?

@Seasonreaper not yet :))

how beautiful is this "A Beautiful Song"... the vocals are top notch, the execution original, the non-sensical language is mixed with the dark English lyrics (or sounds like English? probably not actually).... such emotion. it is on loop, which I don't favor so much in songs, but what the hell it's great.

haha if i'm not mistaken, this is a boss battle. you wouldn't want this battle to end xD

Nier Automata OST.
Haven't played the game (though I really want to ), but the OST is top notch. The vocals are seriously sublime. Parts of it actually remind of the Coraline Soundtrack (which is great btw).

Double post but I've been really into salyuxsalyu recently. Her voice and more experimental style reminds me a lot of Bjork (especially her longer notes in this and this song), except Salyu's much better (Even though I love a lot of her stuff, Bjork's voice can get seriously annoying sometimes).
I mainly love Salyu for her harmonies though, like honestly they're some of the best I've heard in music, period.
It also helps that Cornelius composed a lot of her stuff, and he has a pretty distinct but incredibly innovative, unique, and cool style

I should check that out then, @sarasara. I do quite like Bjork's stuff (she's also good live) but some of it is a bit hit and miss for me, so maybe I'll get along better with this artist.

Right now though, post-rock group Cold Body Radiation's Deer Twillight album. Going through a lot of stuff on YouTube recently, really in the mood for new music.

Couldn't agree more, I loved Homogenic, and her stuff in the Dancer in the Dark movie, but some of her other stuff just kinda gets ear grating haha.
Salyuxsalyu is seriously great though (I've been playing this song on repeat all day), I hate myself for not discovering her earlier.

Listening to into the world instrumental. I love the piano moment at around 2:14. It makes me feel like nostalgic and uplifted at the same time

Listening to FictionJunction Elemental CD

From the anime Parasyte, "Next to you"

Parasyte soundtrack is amazing. Loved the anime also. I can't seem to find where to buy the soundtrack for parasyte. It's not on cdjapan either.

Just idling in NieR: Automata listening to the utter perfection that is this game's soundtrack. Can't wait for my copy of the OST to get here, it may well be my best release of the decade so far.

I have just been playing Nier Automata, only got ending A so far. I am going to buy soundtrack soon. I own the original Nier soundtrack and from what I have heard through my playthrough of ending A in Automata has been every bit as good as the originals soundtrack.

Just finished 'When The Fairy Tail Ends', from 'KnK/''Garden of Sinners', and now giving my ears a break from my headset....
