Recall Order - Elemental Gelade - YK!

Yuki Kajiura doesn't really excel in this kind of symphonic music (e.g. battleland in xenosaga is really bad imo) but this is great. particularly love the flute at the end.
 
Spicaterrible by Aya Uchida.

I don't usually care that much for the voice Uchida uses for Kotori's songs in Love Live, but this is really damn good.

Back on topic, just finally got my copy of Aimer's Daydream in the mail (stupid SAL), so listening through that.

But yeah, 3 AM is just too good. I just love Aimers super chill songs. What other songs do you like? Some of my other favorites by her are Dareka Umiwo, us, insane dream, RE: I AM, samishikute nemurenai yoru ha, and Cold Sun.

On topic though, I'm currently listening to some crappy pop music that's playing on someone's phone right now because Im at a study group, and they wanted to play music.

Aimer is my secondary favourite Japanese artist behind Kalafina. Her voice is just something else entirely, I absolutely adore it. I'm also a pretty big fan of Maon Kurosaki, ClariS, Perfume, Mami Kawada and Ling Tosite Sigure, if you're familiar with any of them. There are many others as well, but those are the ones I tend to go back to regularly. I do have a last.fm account with the same username here, and I've been tracking my listening habits on my PC for the last decade or so :omgz:.

03:00AM is amazing indeed, especially the live version that's on the Brave Shine single, which is actually where I first heard the song. I didn't get a copy of Midnight Sun until I was in Japan last year although I'd heard her other albums. Other songs I love are Cold Sun, Dare ka, Umi wo, Words, StarRingChild, Ophelia and, being a Ling fan, naturally Kowairo and Us. The only reason I regard 03:00AM as only a possible overall favourite is because Us exists, and that song is goddamn perfect.

Topic-wise, just finishing up Daydream, on the final track now. As expected it's a damn good album :love:. Still probably place Midnight Sun as the best of her works, but everything else is strong as well.

Hmm I haven't heard of any of those except ClariS (because Madoka) and Ling Tosite Sigure (because Aimer). I'll definetely have to check them out some time! :w00t:
And YES, Us is legit amazing. I've shown it to some of my friends who typically hate Japanese music (they thought Yami no Uta was terrible :vortex:), and even they admitted it was good. :nosebleed:
And highfive because Midnight Sun is also my favorite Aimer album.:dote:
Btw, I was unaware that Aimer had released a new album (shame on me!:ghost:), so thanks for that. It's currently downloading (illegally, but that's because I want to listen to it now and I'm impatient), and I ordered a copy on CD Japan as well . :sohappy: So excited.

Back on topic, currently listening to the Kalafina 5th anniversary album while waiting for Daydream to download. :shy:

I thought I had been keeping up with most of the artists that I like but I guess I just forgot about Aimer, even though she's one of my favorite artists. I guess there's even more shame on me :faint:. It seems to be a cover album, with many being from Taka/ONE OK ROCK. Though I didn't like insane dream at all hopefully these other songs with him are better.

Not listening to a person speaking at everyone at this thing I'm at cause I disagree with them completely but was forced to come :/. So I guess songs that are currently stuck in my head (seventh heaven being one of them)
 
She released it back in September, just been waiting for my copy to arrive :waa:.

But yes, most of the tracks are collaborations with other people. Naturally the TK songs are the best, because TK :love:. And I'd say that Insane Dream is the weakest of the Taka collabs, Closer and Falling Alone are far better.

I'd highly recommend Mili btw! They're a Japanese group (who mostly publish their music on Youtube) and they're not really well known, but their music is super unique and I love it. Some of their stuff is almost Kajiura-esque lol. Their 2nd album is releasing soon, I'm so excited. :dote:
