Watching Yuki Kajiura ANIME long after they aired.

The themes have just really stuck with me over the years
I can imagine watching it in the past closer to its release period and being genuinely impacted in a lasting way.
It’s also one of the last cel-animated works of the era, and I really do love that style
I didn't know that. An historic work it is.
And those last action sequences with her and Mireille are absolutely killer. They might play Salva Nos and Canta per Me enough times to make you think a record’s glitching, but it’s a testament to how impeccable they are that I never found myself getting bored.
Yeah, I can go back and watch just that. The choices were top notch and yet felt real and not a bit like some of the earlier more-stylized actin scenes. I liked the fact it was one nun at a time, one hurdle after the other.

It was interesting with the one who used a sword as her weapon and not a gun. It gave a needed additional color to the nun different from her peers and how she threatened both of our heroines in a unique way, not letting the fights be monotonous.

Akino Arai's ED was moving and her vocal was perfect for that laid-back vibe-y feel of the song, especially with the animation during the video and the context of it being the ending song. I really like that song, more than the OP actually.
