Wow.. even I love vocal BGM..., instrumental BGM in this OST are also very very beautiful!!
it may be my most favourite OST among her works..., esp. for instrumental BGM. Moreover, it's one of Yuki's OSTs that contain the story in it... having the continuous emotion... just like a theme for a short movie..lol
. (when I listened, I realized what did Yuki mean when she said that she didn't compose it for a documentary..lol.)
- Historia Opening Theme : OMG....Storia in Kajiuran version!!!... I love it.... Even it has almost the same melody, but its feeling is a bit different from Storia... um..I can't explain it even in my native language...- -... sorry...
.
- Secret Episodes : Its feeling is not only literally secret, but also sacred, and there's some taste of South Asia music as in many of her works..., and Yuriko's voice is very matched this style....lol.
- Frenetic : One of my favourite track!... It sounds like a battle song... I wonder that in which part of the documentary that this track appears..
- Dawn is falling : So amazing!! As if I see a lonely and mournful dawn when listening... I love it!!
- Dance of the time : Contrast to Secret Episodes... for me, it's full of western sense..lol...like I'm in a rural area in North America in about 100 years ago...um.. I feel that it's a main feeling of this OST... (However..I don't know what's the documentary about...
maybe Japanese history?)
- Where I stand : Very beautiful soprano voice!! there're 2 vocalist in this track..for vocal&chorus? I can't tell who are the vocalists...
....(or she may sing both vocal&chorus part...)
- Tears : It seem that this track has only human voice and piano..., but it's so gorgeous!!! I accept that at first I thought that it's Wakana's voice, but when I've listened for a while... I just..oh no... it isn't her voice... It's the best vocal track among the first 8 tracks that I've listened... (there maybe a better one in the remaining tracks...lol. I wrote a comment for each song right after I finished listening.)
- Looking for Something, Complication, Despair, Remember Me : I feel of sth interesting in these four consecutive songs. Ah.. the first song is a bit exciting... like there's something gonna come... the excitement in this song is growing in Complication.. and its tone become darker... and become darkest and depressed in Despair.. and in Remember Me, just like.. the tension has broken down, and the deeply grave is shown in this last song. Their melodies isn't outstanding, but their continuity interest me..
- Tell Me More : Another of Storia variation... more classical and mournful..., but not much... How beautiful of this OST...
....Ah....I love it so much!!!
- Ordinary Dream : Wakana's voice is excellent as always.... I think the chorus one is Yuriko's, right?
- Where My Story Begin : Storia variation..again.., but it's have its own feeling that's different from the others...^ ^. I think it's interesting... (comparing with KnK6...many variation of Fairytale melody give the similar feeling...lol, so I think Storia's variation in this OST are better than those of Fairytale.
)
- Walk on Your Destiny : Grand soprano vocal... I think it's Hanae Tomaru's voice..?
- The Moving Era : It made me think of Hokuto no Ken OST...
, but it's also a great song. Yuri's voice is so gorgeous and powerful, very matched with this song! Like Frenetic..I wonder that in which part of the documentary that this track appears..
- Faith : Wakana's voice again... calm and beautiful.
- Historia Closing Theme : I love the closing theme... the vocal, the flute voice... just like the song for calm and beautiful dusk....
Can anyone give the list of vocal&chorus vocalist in each vocal track..? I think I wanna do one but I'm not sure esp. chorus vocalists...
So..my favourite tracks are Secret Episodes, Dawn is falling, Tears, the Moving Era, Closing Theme and all variations of Storia! Wowww...I love this OST so much....
Secret Episodes: I love this song, it's egyptian like
Um...when I listen to it again after seeing your comment...yes... it's also Egyptian-like... and also..Arabian-like.. maybe... I can't tell the obvious different of songs from these regions....
