Unedited lives

That Kizuato acapella live really makes me sad. Wakana used to have a really good vocal control and a really nice voice. Now she sounds like a chipmunk in some songs.

[edit] And no, I didn't intend to make another Wakana loses her voice drama. It's really my opinion. That was a really nice Kizuato acapella~

hikaru's high harmony is beautiful. i love her falsetto(or head voice?? musically ignorant person here)

^I think it's her falsetto. Even I barely here her, it sounds quite fine...(well...it's fine for her standard..I'm not going to compare it to those Pros like Yuriko's or Hanae's..:XD:)

Edit: Ok...already watched all... the video quality also able to make it sound worse than it should be. For example, I think the short ver. of Serenato sounds better than the full one. (Even Hikaru still shouting...) And some can be the real ear cancer just because the video quality like one of the Lacrimosa in Hongkong that Aki posted (http://vimeo.com/54207963) while the other one have less problem (http://vimeo.com/54207962). Even their singing isn't perfect, but it doesn't sound that bad.

I'm not saying that just blaming all bad things to the video quality, but I think this is what we should keep in mind when discussing about these unedited performance :), esp. when they're taken from fans.

Most links are probably dead, but I think the Kajiura family VK group might have a big chunk of them.

I've never seen this playlist of songs from this live before today (only seen "Hikari no Senritsu" previously from this). I didn't know that Yuki of Sound Horizon fame played with them in several lives, together with a bassist and keyboardist I didn't recognize, but Konno and Nozaki were also there.

I wonder about if they maintained the same musicians (there was a lady violinist in an earlier live) rather than inheriting Kajiura's core FBM in future lives.

The girls were already beginning to move like they would later on, more coordinated that the other earlier lives. They sounded really good athough I am suspecting this is a finished/produced version rather than the raw live (maybe with some slight corrective work), since this includes text overlays with the video.

"Progressive" was really nice. There was a real energy in the instrumentation and flow of the song. I think Nozaki's playing was excellent here and set a new standard for me on this particular song.

At 8:53 Hikaru stepped forward for her solo and it was funny to see Keiko looking at her several times and smiling. Hikaru and Keiko's unison at 9:25 is always sweet and one of my favourite example (if not the peak) of the duo unison in their discography. 11:32 was beautiful for the long held note and blend!

I noticed that Wakana sang very confidently during this live especially, which I liked. 12:13 she moved her mic away a bit too soon (backing vocal continued). 12:24 Yuki's tasteful solo, even his shred was well placed and flowed smoothly into the progression of the song.

For me, I could see the beginning of some slight signs of strain for both Hikaru and Wakana on the more energetic songs. "Hikaru no Senritsu" was a perfect song for them.
