tiny desk concerts JAPAN

^I... don't know why this bothered you so much but to show solidarity with you lol:

I guess the reason why CloisteredFlame's link showing no Kalafina (2023 kajifes) is because all the song descriptions underneath are TV/Anime/game project descriptions as opposed to singer/band with the exception of purely FictionJunction songs (e.g. Parade etc). The list you had is consistent in and of itself.

As for NHK site showing no Kalafina... who knows since it's likely Kajiura/staff wasn't responsible for it. I imagine since Kalafina is an active entity, they (NHK, not Kajiura) may have shied away from writing their name, not because of bad feeling but to avoid any confrontation or messiness if there ever could be one.

Alleluia as a song composition belongs to Kajiura and hence no issue from their perspective. and mine =rainbow emoji=

I am almost certain this article is not written/curated/proofread by the usual YK staff.

And I don't know if this will save grunti but I guess we can understand it this way:

Homura and Alleluia are in the same category because they were originally NOT related to the current or old FJ lineup.
The rest of the songs were made for FJY or FJ.
-> Whoever wrote the list decided that there is a need to clarify the difference between FJY and FJ.

I think it really is just that!
And I don't think you need to regret starting this topic. I don't see anything bad about it and I like it more when people just say what they wanna say on spot on a forum... :tea:
Didn't it turn out to be a fun discussion after all? :XD:

Fun?... FUN?!??!? :stupidtable:

No but really... I think I said everything I had to say and I don't really think there are answers to my questions (other than "it is, for some reason, unfortunately worded", that I already started with anyways...), so hopefully I'll calm down and move on.

I really wish I had not even noticed that setlist. I become fixated on the stupidest things.

PS. @wat11 inconsistencies on FJcom between different YKLs/pages don't really bother me much (or at all). It's the ones that are on the same page that do that can drive me nuts if I start fixating on them...

I think I can empathise because I tend to notice this kind of inconsistencies too especially when it comes to formatting/punctuations and lyrics/translations and such feelings of being rubbed the wrong way can linger on and on...
Well, we fixate because we care in many different ways...:)!

I didn't have to. I read the setlist's contents in one way, when it wasn't necessarily what was intended and I still fixated on it... and I could not find answers either way I tried to overanalyze it. That's just me being dum. Anyhuu. Deep breaths.

Live soon-ish.

Watch YK properly mention Kalafina in an MC around "Alleluia". Now that would be cathartic. But let me not get ahead of myself again.

maybe f NHK and put trust on Kajiura?? Perhaps channeling the fixation on who instead of what may help diffuse the situation?

maybe remember Kajiura and team's smiling faces? They are so harmonious that the harmony comes out of screen, at least for me xD

now the question of Kajiura mentioning Kalafina is a somewhat interesting one and so is the reverse. I asked here if anyone detected Kajiura's name in the recent bilibili Kalafina live video but didn't get an answer. tho to be honest even that is boring to me atp. anyways peace:)

Ah the singing is excellent, the voices are so raw and fresh as if they recharged with energy after a brisk walk. I love the harmony in Fanfare and Alleluia. LiSA's throat skills doing eeeehhh is kinda fun to watch too.

Oh I just realised I didn't share anything about Alleluia in YKLxmas here. Anyway! Just want to say I teared up the moment the very first string of notes drifted out of Emiko's lips, and for the rest of the song I was in such a fulfilled and blissful state of mind that performance had became one of my best moments ever in any YKL I've ever attended. The entire Christmas dinner setting, atmosphere and the power, meaning & affection within the song itself were truly, truly touching and amazing. :plz:

My memories of Kalafina singing Alleluia (especially in the 10th Anniversary LIVE - I was there too, and the original studio version is also one of my all-time-favourite Kalafina songs anyway) only added a rich, warm layer of emotions and soft embrace to my experience there, and I didn't even have any tiniest bit of urge to compare which of FJ or Kalafina was 'better' on it. I really really really love both versions and I appreciate each and every single person who let this song come into being in their own precious ways.

It's probably not going to give a similar feeling at all in this broadcast considering everything, but I do sincerely wish whoever listening to FJ Alleluia can enjoy it as something very beautiful on its own, with a pure heart!

I have no doubt she'll mention Kalafina if there's indeed an MC around/about Alleluia. :groucho:
To be honest, I really don't think she has

Thank you for sharing.

"Alleluia" is a beautiful song, indeed. I resonate with your wish that all the listeners (including those who are regular NHK listeners and not as familiar with Kajiura's music) can feel the power and intention of all the songs presented, as intended by Kajiura.

To be honest, I really don't think she has
Did you not finish your sentence correctly or do you mean she hasn't been mentioning Kalafina in other covers? If my memory serves me right she has always been pretty fine with acknowledging the group when talking about her music after the dramatic 'revival', hmm...
