with the Death Penalty. But we have access to Kajiura Yuki here, thank goodness.

Chinese New Year was wearing me out (with all the relative visiting and constant stuffing going on), so I retreated to the best form of comfort these days - the Red Moon live video. One thing led to another and so I am here.

I've always liked FictionJunction YUUKA (not so enthusiastic about the rest, tbh), and I followed Kalafina for a while until real life caught up with me and I sort of forgot about it. The turning point came when an old friend poked me into re-watching Kara no Kyoukai, and so I'm back into Kalafina (which is a great drug for sore nerves). My current favorite is 春は黄金の夢の中.

I speak, read and write Japanese fluently, and consequently I spend what spare time I have watching dramas and keeping in touch with friends in Japan (which is pretty much what keeps me from going insane from the sometimes overwhelmingly-depressing readings I have to do at school).

I'm glad to be here, for it is perhaps in places such as this where I can actually feel at home (my classmates are almost universally obsessed with Kpop and that drives me insane because I don't speak the language and because being the only holdout creates this incredible sense of cognitive dissonance).

Let's all fanboy/girl Kajiura and her successful offspring till hell freezes over.

Cheers!

Welcome peardruid... I also have a liking for FictionJunction Yuuka, Kalafina and Chiaki Ishikawa through Animelo Summer Live videos and last year's concerts, which I attended *without* being able to read, speak or write Japanese at all (beyond arigatou gozaimasu and a few other phrases).

Have a browse of the forums, write some replies and also join some of us in http://chat.canta-per-me.net/

Welcome! I am known as Lina. Hope you like it here. Kalafina is great, I think they are probably my favorite group from Yuki, although FJ is so awesome as well. It is hard to decide. Yuuka is great, she has a powerful voice. What other Kalafina songs do you like? My favorites are lilica, love come down and magnolia. :dote:

Welcome Pear. I also started being a FictionJunction YUUKA fan before I knew it was Yuki behind it..Enjoy and see you at some threads.

My favorites are Haru wa Kogane no Yume no Naka (it's not Ougon according to the official lyrics booklet), Storia, ARIA and seventh heaven. Magia is also quite catchy and I listen to it when I play The Sims Medieval. :D

Hai hai :tea: You must be from Asia. What part of it? :ayashii:

The richest jurisdiction in Asia. I don't feel rich though. :rain:

Akatsuki no Kuruma reminds of my junior high days with my best friend. nowhere too. Good old days. Too bad Nanri Yuuka moved on to other things.

I can guess that it's Singapore, but the fact you are fluent in Japanese makes me think about Japan too :ayashii:

Haha. Well I'm not Japanese. If I were Japanese I'd probably not be able to write the way I do. And I'd be hanging out on 2chan instead of here. :knife:

Japanese language education is really quite good in Singapore (both private and the school system).

Unfortunately it seems unlikely for Kalafina to drop by for a concert anytime while I am alive because the fanbase has been saturated by factory-produced kpop. Tragic.

welcome to CPM!!!
欢迎你!!
have fun here!!!

Singapore ain't the richest, mate! :psst:

There's still Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong and Shanghai! :XD:

Anyway, welcome and don't take Chinese New Year for granted!

Welcome! :V:

春は黄金の夢の中.

Er... Haru wa Kogane(/Ougon) no Yume no Naka? I have about 0,00000001% knowledge in Japanese writing, but luckily for me Kalafina seems to have just one song with two "no"'s (の) in the title so far. :XD:

My Kalafina faves are Oblivious, Hikari no Senritsu, Lirica, Magia and Sprinter. :sparkleguy: As to Yuuka, the very top would be shared by Margaret and Blessing. And I'm still disappointed they didn't perform Blessing at YK LIVE Vol 4...

I think there were talks about them planning a visit in the future... or was it about the possibility of it? I can't recall exactly, so don't get your hopes too high yet... but don't keep them down either. I'm sure Singapore has a much bigger chance of their visit than a good portion of other countries where CPMers and other Yuki fans live. :fans: :sparkleguy: :sparkleguy:

It could actually become the official slogan of our site, huh? :sohappy: :ohoho:

I really hope Yuuka would perform as FictionJunction YUUKA again because I miss it so much. It holds a strong significance in my life as it is the reason I came to know Yuki-sama. :shy:

I sympathise. It was the case for me too. Though it was God who connected the dots and introduced me to Kajiura Yuuki.

But then again Nanri Yuuka is still young and cute so there's still something to be said for watching her! :P

Welcome to CPM peardruid ! We have very few people here that speak and or read/write fluent Japanese (around 4-5) so more of this kind are always welcome (you could help with some interviews translation if you feel like http://canta-per-me.net/yuki-kajiura/interviews/ :plot: )

I dont understand Japanese yet I do like songs in that language and their culture, so Im not in the same case as you are concerning K-Pop, meaning that I like the japanese songs. I plan on learning Japanese some time in the future.

Please make yourself at home and enjoy! :sohappy:

So, it's Singapore after all. I hope one day I'll travel there :sohappy:
