Nick Hunter
I have reached Yuki nirvana
Among anime movies... KnK series, of course. Also, Howl's Moving Castle and Mononoke Princess, both of which are my fave Miyazaki movies. Time will show if I add a movie trilogy about a certain magical girl to this list in the future...
Among Western animation, there's the stable top 3 of The Lion King, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Brother Bear. But that's for 2D, and if you ask about CGI, the inarguable leader would be The Incredibles. Brad Bird is THE director, I'm tempted to watch Mission Impossible 4 solely because he's directing it.
Among live action... The Russian comedy "The Diamond Hand", from overseas - "Jurassic Park" and "What Dreams May Come". I also like Takeshi Kitano's "Dolls" a lot.
I do like movies with Jim Carrey, especially "Bruce Almighty" which is goofy, but has heartwarming ideas. And I also highly credit his role in Eternal Shining of Spotless Mind - the first time I saw it, I couldn't believe Carrey can play dramatic roles that well. He's enviable as the type of actor who managed to go outside his usual and long-running scope.
