Yeah, Jr braided his goatee a little while ago, although he hasn't had the bead very long. Looks much better than the rubber band he originally used, though

They are very important to Kalafina's music after all...even if the musicians themselves aren't the main focus. And Hitoshi is really when playing...the serious look on his face...

...and wouldn't a rubber band hurt Jr's chin ? Even tying up my head hair with a rubber band hurts, so with a goatee...
