Original music 🎶 ( Kajiura is my inspiration ❤️ ) / Might add my Kajiura covers here too

I like Yuki
Wanna share a song I made for an upcoming film project. I think Kajiura influenced me so much in my music while trying to retain also my own style in music. But I wanna share this demo music I made since I was tasked to make dark songs for this project and my inner Kajiura was unleashed 😆
Hope you will like this simple song. Full version will be released this October 😊

Nice. You said you were tasked with making dark songs. So you're recording a song for a horror movie?

The soft soprano voice sounds really nice on the darker piano at the beginning.

I hear some Kajiura elements, but there seem to be other things included. The beginning really gave a Halloween/Symphonic metal vibe (if a distorted electric guitar were to come in) which is not Kajiuran per se. So it's a mix of things.

Maybe you can look at some heavy choir chant for one of the songs, but you'll need a bunch of classical-style vocalists for that (including males).

0:34 The suddenness of the drums coming in gave me a bit of a jump scare the first time I heard it (my volume was loud in my headphones). 😁

2:03 I really liked the switch over to the piano from the massive strings/band combo right from the beginning. I know the keys are still there throughout, but still always good to hear a special space for them.

Thanks for sharing your project!

(P.S.: I think about how it would be to create a keys-only dramatic conflict music, with minimal if anything else, and the kind of vocal that would go with it. Probably feels more operatic/classical in my head. Anyway, that was just a sidenote.)

There is supposed to be a choir singing in our recorded versions but I decided that they can just do it in the their live performances 😂

Thank you ❤️ Yuki Kajiura has been such an inspiration to me and was able to make a lot of songs ❤️
^____^ in my case she also inspired me.. but to learn play the piano two years ago. (Might be 2,5 years now.. :o)
The latest piece is [ this one ] from the .hack//SIGN series (2002) in case you'd like to give it a listen. : )
Found so many cool old Kajiura songs... there is SO MUCH to do.. and learning this brings up new things every day that bit by bit make it sound better. (This linked recording already is outdated, as I'd play this differently now.. more expressive and with better dynamics.. and of course free of faulty keys xD)

Anyway: It is SO MUCH FUN and it keeps getting more and more interesting by the day. And yes, this is all her fault.. - And I have to thank her BIG TIME for being such a good inspiration. Learning how to play is such a great journey (as you know :D)
I can only hope that she will continue composing such GREAT music for many many many more years to come. - But as we all know her, this WILL be the case... as it is way too much fun to quit.. ^_~*
