New Chat Complaint Thread (Mark 2)

I'm having significant lags when logged in on Firefox until I enter something in pidgin, as I'd previously reported.

[Edit] it appears to be some slowness on start-up of Firefox while it is loading other tabs in the background.

I just experienced where a couple of lines of text I'd entered in Firefox appeared in pidgin, but did not show up in Firefox.

Also a line of text entered in pidgin did not appear in Firefox also.

[edit] the text did appear to others but not me, so it appears to be an issue of my Firefox not receiving/displaying it, and I'll restart Firefox here soon to see if I still get the same problem.

Is it normal to have like half of the images look like this? http://puu.sh/gFUBf/f6190bde87.jpg
Even those I post myself sometimes appear so...

There are some outstanding issues with image proxy and https - you should have better success with changing the images' https to http for now. Tumblr's setup is messing with our image proxy. I'd suggest linking to the relevant posts for now.

Chat messes up pasted URL's like:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoko_Yamano_(voice_actress)

leaving the section in parentheses out of the URL.

Should be fixed after an F5.

Posting the URL in Firefox shows the URL correct for another session running chromium, but wrong for the Firefox session;
Posting the URL in chromium show shows the URL in chromium but wrong in Firefox.

It might just be how Firefox interprets a URL?

Parenthesis are one of the characters that are usually urlencoded when submitted.

Chrome* chooses not to apply this encoding when copying to the clipboard, Firefox does apply it.

As long as the whole link is being detected now, it's more a browser issue than a client issue.
