My Anime List

My rate system is generally based as the whole of series. Let's say, sometimes there was something that I really didn't like in the series that prevented me from liking it. BUT, I will also try to value technical issues, such as animation, music and so on. So, if I were to give a score only based on myself for Aria the Animation and Code Geass for example, the score would be 4, I think. But since I also value these kind of things in a series it became 6.
For 10 scores, I always give it to series that gave me such an entertainment that I loved it completely. Nothing is perfect so giving something 10 would seem impossible, but since I know this and I'm just a fan that does not work with the media, I might as well give some 10. Although I believe maybe I should take some 10 that exist in my list, but it's just a score so why bother? :XD:
And those really low scores were that the show pissed me off so much that I didn't even care to pay attention to other things (or even the technical issues weren't even good to begin with).
Lastly, for Madoka, I believe the storyline may get kinda interesting, but since the characters do not work with me at all I seriously don't believe it will surpass a 6.

^@for edit: Yes, I will \o

My rating system is... as non-systematic as one can get. :XD: I mostly give 10 to shows that impress me, or the ones I personally find unique, and it may well be despite their faults. It doesn't correspond to my top list, e.g. I rated Angel Beats higher than Nanoha because it touched my strings - but Nanoha still tops my top list, leaving AB far behind, because MGLN has a world and characters I came to fall in love with. Tsubasa Chronicle is also in my top 5 because it hooked me emotionally with its combination of visuals (static as they may be at times), music and characters. Of course, nowadays I mostly refer to Tokyo Revelations which remains the best adaptation so far.
On the other hand, my general tolerance about what I watch leaves a lot with scores like 7-8. Rarely a series may get a low score from me, so far those to do so were mostly M-rated - being a healthy male alright, I still can't but facefault at a plot that keeps fragging everyone to the bed for a reason and for the lack of it. :bloodlust: Then there have been a couple of shows like Legend of Lemnear or Mezzo DSA that left me feeling downright empty. Not emptied, but empty - such is the extent to which they failed to cause any emotion in me. :uh..:

But for me, extreme situations are like "1" for Lain like Rafael did. That is really extreme :XD:

... Lain :blood: :uh..: is one of the three worst things ever made, alongside X/1999 movie, and the Love Hina Again OVA.

xD I could barely stand awake watching it. :XD:

But Madoka :sohappy:...

It's a truly masterpiece. :shy:

In your opinion always, since i am sure there are people out there that think Lain is a masterpiece, etc :ayashii: And i dropped anime that people think they were masterpieces too,so..you can't be objective on what you like.

My manga list is pretty poor, since i CAN'T just buy everything i want to read and i can't read online :/

@Nick:i know what you mean,my favorites aren't the same with those i've rated the highest.DNAngel is from my favorites for example but it barely got an 8/10. The first anime i watched when i started ''seriously'' watching anime will always be in my heart.

I haven't seen Lain yet :XD: But my tastes remain quirky... for example, Love Hina Again that I liked more than the original show. :XD: It just had CRAZINESS (the very feature I liked Love Hina for) pumped over 9000. :ohoho:
I'm quite used to people not sharing my views on anime; even my friend is pretty indifferent to many series I recommended to him - and while generally a Shinbo fan like me, he dislikes Nanoha and Negima, and has yet to watch the last two episodes of Petite Cossette. :desksweat: On another forum, I was as careless as to say that I scored Angel Beats with a 10, which nearly launched a holywar there. :ohoho: My positive attitude to shows like Zero no Tsukaima, Shakugan no Shana and Asura Cryin' is also met with confusion at times. Tastes differ, don't they? :innocent:

But Madoka ...

It's a truly masterpiece.

Well, I think I'll sign under this. :sparkleguy: :dote:

You mean Evangelion? I didn't like it at first too. But after watching it once again I came to love it

Angel Beats! was good, but i can see how someone would love it.I hated the ending :XD:
On the other hand i never liked Eva,but like Alphard, some anime i rewatched after some years from the first time, appealed to be way better to me,like Code Geass.I think i have a more open mentality now.
But unlike most people in here,i do not like very depressive & horror stories, which make no sense to me.But everything is a matter of taste.
:sparkleguy:

I'm not into comedies. :ohoho:

There usually screw it up [Suzumiya Haruhi's Endless Eight arc], or use too much fan service [most of todays anime]. :uh..:

^let's not generalize things please Rafael.I'm not totally into comedies either but there are some exceptional shows with great stories out there, like there are exceptional horror shows i bet.I remember i liked Elfen Lied when i was 18... :ayashii: don't even try to recommend such a show to me now :XD:
But i agree all this fanservice is just useless, and in my opinion it ruins some anime.Look what they did to the last episodes of Index II and Dragon Crisis (even though they had fanservice already it wasn't that disturbing).
Not only horny males watch anime, producer-san!

There usually screw it up [Suzumiya Haruhi's Endless Eight arc]

This arc is the grand example of anime trolling, which KyoAni is getting more famous for by the year. :ohoho: It's not something to judge the industry by. :XD:

Not only horny males watch anime, producer-san!

yes, horny females as well er, I mean, yes, normal people as well! :XD:

But fanservice can be too much too often indeed. I remember my impression of Rizelmine ruined, because the cute story went down to just breasts. :blood: And then there's Seikon no Quazer which gets a choking load of fanservice and manages to cranberrify it as well. :vortex:
And today... we have Kiss x Sis... :uh..: There's an opinion that ecchi might die out as a genre and basically dissolve into pure hentai. I'm afraid it has a point...

Seriously!I dropped series that had too much ecchi from the 1rst episode but starting with er,let's say light fanservice and ending up to Index II episode 18 is just...meh :uh..: And to think i improved a lot last years,i used to drop all the shows that showed boobs <---fail.I think i believed that ecchi was the principal element of all the anime that have it, that's why i didn't watch them.
Anyways,my voting changed again on my currently watching shows so i am also thinking about leaving it blank till they end :uh..: I already deleted Index II vote,i don't know how to vote it anymore T___T;;

I think i believed that ecchi was the principal element of all the anime that have it

To some people, anime is still no more than "chinese porn cartoons" :ohoho: :desksweat:
but it's disturbing when anime producers seem to feed their beliefs. :uh..:

^They feed those beliefs because the a great part of the public that will indeed buy everything longs for this.
