Understood. It's all passed away already for me. Not sure I'll feel a need to watch them again.
 
I could definitely see myself skimming through to hear the songs in context of scenes though, or watch shorts with the music included.

My key musical takeaways:
- Kasahara's vocal was impressive and gave massive dramatic intensity to the scenes her songs supported.
- I am imagining mainly Yuriko supporting her if there was a live cover.

According to a fan's report on live 15: Kasahara led the song with the support of all four uta-himes. I can't imagine how powerful that would be : ).
 
Halp request to anyone familiar with My-HiME and My-Otome soundtracks.

I figured I'd comb through My-Otome while it's relatively fresh in my mind and everything in the show seems to be accounted for on the three released soundtracks but these clips... I just cannot figure out.

There's 6 short clips in this file below, they start every 30 seconds.

Do you recognize these?

The first one starts at 0:30 and is some mixture of Sajin ni Kureyuku and a track I couldn't recognize.
The next 3 are just sfx that may or may not even be YK - I don't particularly care about but might as well ask for completion's sake...
The penultimate taiko drums at 2:30, if real, might be stock I guess.
The last percussive one at 3:00 is the most infuriating one. My brain keeps telling me it's released but I just can't find it. I thought it might be Fuka Gakuen Seikatsu from HiME but don't think so...

The only tracks from Otome that have this kind of percussion / drum are "Otome ni naru mon" from ost 1 or "Shin Naru Mezame" from the old best of collection bonus tracks, but its none of those, so i guess its unreleased.
 
I did think about those two, and also that percussion buried down under in OST2's "Kyusai to Iu Na no Shinryaku". But can't really figure it out... Perhaps it is unreleased... but it's kind of weird for only this to be left after Best Collection.
 
Its not a significant loss so its okay. They better release those Hokuto soundtracks, the TRC OVA music and the 8-ish SAO ones. I d pray for madlax too but only with miracle (maybe after a reprint like Noir?)

This. Especially for Hokuto no Ken. (I wonder if the NY recording sessions would be the biggest issue to overcome when releasing that...)

With Victor I think our next best hope is another anniversary release. Now that they got "Early Best Collection for Soundtrack" out of the way maybe for Kajiura's 50th Anniversary they'll do an "Early Best Collection for Uncollected Soundtrack" (hopefully 4xCD :-P )... We might be dead by then but at least it's something to look forward to if we're not.
 
Checked both soundtracks + best collection. No luck. I would say that it's unreleased.

Nope. Isolated drums, definitely not buried down.

Glad this is all that's left unreleased. (Thank the lords for that Best Collection though. XD)

When I find the time some evening, I'm going to repack the last 2 clips (maybe the 1st too; but probably ignore the other 3), clean up the episode guide and add it all to the My-Otome Zwei post in my guide thread. Doubt I'll be bumping that thread for this.
