「舞-HiME＆舞-乙HiME20周年記念フィルムコンサート」裏話
梶浦さんとバンドの皆さんが演奏する楽曲のセレクトは、何度も運営側と梶浦さんサイドと何回もやり取りしました。
わたしが、「舞-HiME」でどうしても入れて欲しい曲があって、1曲を入れてもらいました。
それは会場のスクリーンにはあかねちゃんの想い人が消えていくシーン、そこにかかった曲です。
またこの曲、本編だと第24話の楯くんが消えていくシーンにかかった曲でもありますね。
わたしは、印象的な曲だなって、思っているのです。
「舞-乙HiME」は、わたしからのお願いはありませんでした。
似た曲の場合はどっちを残すか？だし、あれ入れたい、これ入れたい、のなかで聴いて頂いた流れとなりました。そして、「舞-HiME」も「舞-乙HiME」も梶浦さんの作る個性的なボーカル入りの曲がありますので、それは絶対に用意したいと要望しました。
リハの時に、わたしは、客席の3列目の真ん中に座りました。
そして、「媛星」を聴いた時、めちゃくちゃ感動しました！
こころをギュッと掴まれた感じで、すごい不思議な気分でした。

I guess they decided not to perform it cuz the seiyuu wasn´t part of the event. I would´ve loved a Yuriko version. Joelle would be good too.

The guy says he liked Kajiura's music from Noir and Anna ni but its a Fusa guy who asked her to make music for MaiHime.
(I wonder why machine translations always mistake Kajiura for a guy
)
He also says second reason he asked her was because her melodies were sticking in your mind and he wanted the BGMs in the anime to be in the front not background.
Third reason is because he liked songs in musical so he wanted to create a musical-like situation in the anime too (probably with the insert songs)
