This is somewhat old, but worthwhile, i just don't want this absolutely gorgeous work pass unnoticed for us Kajiura fans:innocent:

note: had to post this link because the original uploaded was removed by sonymort.

the artist is called tomoya, he/she usually does piano arrangements for touhou music and such (and is a Kajiura fan as well).

this particular madoka work was published in a collaborative doujin album called
"milagro & magia" at M3-2011 by clonesoldier's factory circle

this is his/her youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/tomoya1060moon
and website http://tomoya1060moon.gozaru.jp/

hope you enjoy it as i do.

Wow this is amazing!!! And i think Sony is a jerk for taking it down, as he/she didnt claim of composing it and does correct use of the music, by improving it. The connective parts are a little our of place, but i love the rearragememnts he/she has done :D

(Maybe Kajiura should hire the person instead of Matsuda Masato XD)

Huh, I haven't actually heard this. Sounds pretty great.

If you like piano (and violin) arrangements I'd also recommend TAMusic's work, they've done a ton of Touhou arranges amongst other things, but also released three Madoka rearrange albums which are pretty great. Also I haven't ever been able to find it on YouTube, but Tomato Gummy's Jazz Magica is a great arrangement album for the series as well.

And I'll also mention it again because I like spreading the word, but check out the group Secret Messenger as well, they do Touhou arrangements done in the style of Kajiura's works, most notably her KnK/Madoka OST styles. They're pretty amazing.

That jazzy Magia is really great omg
Not sure who the singer is, but she's on point

The piano sonata is excellent too. I love how they actually made it to mimic a traditional Classical music Sonata, instead of just doing a same old medley or something. Bonus points for even using some famous classical music pieces (like Chopin's Impromptu) in some parts haha, don't know if anybody else caught that xD

I agree with @sarasara I really love how there are so many references to famous classical music! Aside from Chopin I believe there was some Beethoven as well, and it's really astonishing how well it all flows together :D

I like the fact you were interested in this stuff, so i'll add more doujin works related :innocent:

I'm listening to it right now on the Sayaka movement (Decretum forever!!), and I LOVE IT

Edit: Listening to the Jazz video @maxwell9 posted, it's pretty good, and I'm only on Connect XD. It reminds me of a jazz arrangement of Heavenly Blue I've done on piano.

Sadly despite there being three TAMusic arrange albums, there's a lot of crossover with the songs being arranged. Pretty much all of them have similar track listings, would've preferred a bigger variety of stuff.
