Panda: It's not your fault. Thing is, whether in person or in writing, sometimes it does get difficult to tell when someone's being sarcastic or not. Dry humor can be just that, and usually it's easier (one hopes) to get those signals in person than in writing. However, sometimes you really can tell when someone's being grumpy around here.
I agree that people who have difficulty differentiating sarcasm should try not take things seriously. Conversely, people who are way too sarcastic for some to get it, well, take it easy, too. That "I don't care" attitude doesn't really help foster a positive environment around here.
