- Until this point in time you had always been the one in front. When you entered the school it was as a scholarship student, when you danced at school a dance club was formed, when you went to work in a shop you ended up becoming the manager. The you who had always been in the front in different ways ended up behind those in FJ
The interviewer makes me feel like they're totally rubbing it in Keiko's face :glower:
... THIS. I think it's for creating a dramatic tone for readers but all in all, it still sounds as if he's rubbing it in Keiko's face and Wakana too... .___. Grr...

:knife: I hope the interviewer AT LEAST comforted Keiko and Wakana when they cried in real lifeeee~

I always thought Yuki was like their mommy but it turns out they're almost kind of scared of her :XD: and she even scolds wakana ^^;
My thoughts exactly :ohoho: I wonder if Yuki's really so scary :omg:
On the contrary, I've always thought Kajiura was more of the stern type of figure. She kind of gave me that impression in her video appearances. The way she carries herself, be it talking (her tone for example) or using body language (her gestures), suggests she presents herself with an air of confidence and authority. But that is only when she isn't interacting with her utahime's. When she's mixing around with her girls, she does sound more relaxed and "at home" and so do the girls (quite evident in Kalafina Club's latest episode).

I guess for the girls, one of the reasons they seem almost "afraid" of her when it comes to more serious business stuff (i.e. situations where they have to produce results like their recordings) is due to their overwhelming respect for her. It's also possibly due to the age gap (Maybe you find it easier communicating with someone who's around your age group?). Even if you know the other person is kind and gentle, you may think it's probably a bit rude, selfish and disrespectful to voice your own thoughts in front of that person out of concern you would end up making yourself look silly if you feel nervous or tense. I sort of understand Keiko's method of writing an e-mail to voice her opinions about the recordings. I do it 99% of the time myself when suggesting ideas (even trivial ideas) to the prez of my company (despite him being a really nice grandfather-like figure). Writing/typing out your thoughts without being in the presence of that person somewhat gives you more opportunities to gather all of your thoughts in a more coherent and organized manner. At least I find it so. Still, it does depend on each individual's personality. Keiko's personality and work ethics happen to be that way. :ayashii:

Once again, many thanks to carlenne for the translations. :bow:

Yeah. I don't think that Yuki repeatedly gives Keiko cause to behave cautiously around her either. From what I understand of the interview, Keiko felt really self-conscious at their first meeting and has never been able to shake off that feeling of "I need to really try hard to meet her expectations." It's not necessarily fear she's feeling...just an immense amount of respect for someone she looks up to, and believes that she still ought to behave that way.
