Kara no Kyoukai Epilogue +BDBOX

You should blame Nasu for writing such a "lame epilogue". ufotable did it exactly as Nasu wrote more then 10 years ago. And anyway, it's an epilogue for a series that is pretty much done, but still needed those answers. I think it turned out pretty well given the situation.

And what are you trying to say with that?
I'm not bothered with dialog... its pretty much the same mambo jumbo it was in previous 7 movies, what i'm bother with is looking at same animation 2x. Are you trying to say this is how the scenario was described in the book as well?
Kinda doesn't make sense. Though i do admit by the end i was so bored i stated watching snowflake rather than reading subtitles... i guess there was use to seeing it twice...?

^I think I already explained myself, I see no reason to continue talking about it.

As for Mirai Fukuin, I also doubt they will animate it. Come to think of it, it has a pretty strange structure for a movie.

^ Mujun Rasen was a matter of direction. They made it go back and forth, but the story was one. It had Shiki's arc, then Mikiya's and the last one that you consider Touko's or Tomoe's. Mirai fukuin has arcs that do not belong to the same story, with
Shiki with the bomber Meruka, than they go in the past to Mikiya with Shizune, and then they go in the future with Mana. And from what I remember, they kind of blend Shiki's arc about the bomber with Mikiya's, so it's completely confusing and extremely strange for a movie to convey

But they could surprise me and make a good movie out of Mirai Fukuin. They just have to make sure to change the ending
and not make Shiki a freaking member of Yakuza
:voodoo:

i just watched 33 min of nothing...

no wonder the ED is snow falling, that is basically what hte epilogue is.

Possibly a late comment. But it just occurred to me that this epic box set is sold out already.

Envy all these rich fellas... :uh..:

watched the epilogue episode already...

so philosophical I'm kinda lost sometimes.... :@_@:

^Even thoughI had already read the summary for the epilogue sometimes I was a bit lost.
I don't think I've said this here, but both Sakamoto and Suzumura never fail to amaze me as Shiki and Mikiya.
About the box being sold out, I didn't expect this at ALL, since it was expensive as hell!

Err... So I must ask: Is it worth to watch Kara no Kyoukai?

As of today I only watched Fukan Fuukei and Satsujin Kousatsu (Zen). :uh..:

^It depends.
If you like slow-paced stories with moments of action that have a bit complicated storyline (or rather, direction), you'll probably like it. If you're not into it, don't even bother.
I am a fan (as if it wasn't obvious enough looking at my avatar and signature ;X) but I rarely recommend it because not only it is a love-hate series, but also many people do not pay too much attention at what they're watching nowadays also because I don't like to recommend my favorite series and then someone comes to say that I have bad taste ¬¬.

I felt the epilogue did a fantastic job in tying up all the loose ends left behind by the 7 preceding episodes (although one can argue that they would be able to stand on their own even without the epilogue).

But based on my understanding (which is, in turn, based on the subbing I found off a bootleg record) of the dialogue, the epilogue served to bind all seemingly disjointed stories together into one entity (which is embodied by the title itself). It's difficult to not feel for the characters involved when watching this episode...

In short, ufotable has done it again. A beautiful albeit sad ending to a beautiful tale.:TdT:

@Rafael, Just do it. It's definitely worth the effort.

@KP-X, :goodjob: There's no way of putting it across better.

^Interesting, you pointed an interesting thing. I also think the epilogue gave an sad tone to it, even though things are fine
Shiki is with Mikiya, and given Shiki Void's quote that Shiki doesn't want to be alone and that she likes him, hence they'll stay together, as we know from Mirai Fukuin
. I think that's why I like snow is falling so much know. It's almost as if it conveys the series as a whole (as we know, KnK has its sad tone in it). I think that came to my mind when, in the credits, the camera went to the sky filled with snowflakes and the logo of the series slowly appeared in the screen, telling you that such a long tale had come to its end...Man, I'm being too sentimental today :XD:
I also forgot to mention that KnK isn't in chronological order, so in the beginning you will feel REALLY lost. But personally that's what I love so much about it. To discover with each chapter what was going on, it was just so entertaining :dote:

Thanks :shy:

I don't think I've said this here, but both Sakamoto and Suzumura never fail to amaze me as Shiki and Mikiya.

True. :dote: (although my KnK fave is still Azaka :shy: )

because not only it is a love-hate series

for no reason I can comprehend. I can see why Lucky Star, K-On or Angel Beats are love-hate series... but KnK?! It's the sort of anime that you see once in a decade.

I also forgot to mention that KnK isn't in chronological order

Albeit not as mindscrewingly as Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. :ohoho:

^Nick, really, there are so many people that don't like the series out there. Of course, that happens with many series, but KnK is really love-hate. I believe that one of the reasons is because it is so detailed that many people don't pay attention to them and then believe that the series is at fault, when it was their problem to begin with ;X But of course, one can fully comprehend the series and still not like it, but what I've seen commonly is people that don't even know that Mikiya and Shiki work for Touko (I'm serious, this happened).

VEEEEERY good interview regarding the whole series with Nasu, Takeuchi and Sakamoto. They did mention Kalafina and Yuki through it.
- Maaya said that during the screening for the sixth movie, Kalafina was sitting in front of her and they cried at the end of it :XD:
- Nasu thanked both Kajiura and Kalafina for the music of the whole series
