Violet/Purple and similar shades has always been her common color theme since her first blog (Kaori's Melody), that special Valentine's cd, Make it album, the three jazz flower song titles (cleome, blazing star, and alstroemeria), and obviously her first character in SH's Roman as Violette.

I wasn’t aware of her color preferences.

My hair is clean!!

It's shorter than when I gave birth, and I haven't shortened it this much since I was a teen!

If you get used to this length, you may not be able to stretch it anymore.

Moreover, it seems that the outer honey hair at this length can only be done at this time of year when there is little humidity, so it may be valuable😳

This red costume has been reworked for #YKL20 to be held in 2024. So I don't wear it much, and it's a costume that hasn't been uploaded to SNS.

At that time, I was pregnant, and the design was slightly different from previous years with the body shape cover of the belly that was getting bigger day by day. However, I wonder if it was a nostalgic line from the early days😌

So!!

For this time, I had the body width filled, reduced the volume of the cloth, and slightly increased the range where the legs could be seen. I also made the heel thinner and higher👠✨

And then.

Just before the production, I got gastroenteritis from my child...

I became much slimmer than this summer, and I was personally lucky to be able to stand on the stage with a very light body 😂

But it was painful🫠🫠🫠

This is from last year but I just pleased reading a little bit of how Kaori was navigating life’s changes.

My opinion on her single. Its a nice song for after 6 years although not so special. I wished it has a bit more pep. For someone like me who like late Gen X early Millenial Pop with a hint of Jazz its fine but i do not think that it is something you can make homeruns about. I would give it at first listen a 7/10
Must listen to the End Product to give my final verdict

I enjoyed the style and production of the first two tracks - maybe it was just the bass part.

Kaori sounded nice and young. I think that's something about her voice I have always liked - the youthfulness of it, which goes along with her upbeat and fun personality. It was good to hear her soar vocally in more jazzy/disco styles that you usually don't hear in YKL.

This is Kaori's forte. I would like to get the end product if it's possible. I guess I'll stream it first, though.

I do really want to hear her singing Revo's music again at this stage and with this voice. I am really interested in seeing that hopefully soon.

Hm. I has a question.

Was the original version of LOVE infinity released on CD or digital? I have some shitty mp3 but was wondering if there was anything better out there.

Oh, I think the nico video sounds better than the mp3 I had so that's cool. My mp3 was sounding very thin.

I'm familiar with the 2016 version and I adore it but I definitely wish we also had an official release of this original version. :/

I feel like we sang nearly 60 songs just today! (That's the number of times I stole a peek at the setlist 😳) Throat's a beast!

Kaori Oda

This new song will allow me to express "Kaori Oda's unique style" in a way that's different from before.

Singer Kaori Oda attended a press conference in Tokyo on the 13th to promote her EP, "Free."

The album consists entirely of new songs produced by Genji Miyano. Blending elements of disco, house, and acid jazz—genres Miyano excels at—with Oda's personal musicality, the album features three tracks that are both classic and urban, overflowing with groove. The CD will be available for purchase at the "Kaori Oda 19th Anniversary Live" event on the 21st.

This marks the first new song in six years since her previous 5th album, "Flowers." Oda explained the process, saying, "The COVID-19 pandemic hit right around the time of my last release, so it took two or three years to unveil it. I felt like I had accomplished something by then. Also, I got married and had a child, so I didn't really have the motivation to create new songs. However, I started to feel that if I were to create new songs again, I wanted to create something that was the music I love and that would express 'Kaori Oda's unique style' in a different way than before. I thought that Miyano-san could help me express who I am now, so we had a session together. From there, we had many discussions and arrived at these three new songs."

He further added, "When I listened to it, I thought, 'Wow, this is great!' It's really cool! I was able to enjoy some really delicious drinks while listening to it," giving the finished CD his seal of approval with a smile.

She gave birth in November 2024. Around that time, she was participating in the recording of Yuki Kajiura's solo project.

"That's why it was easy to understand all sorts of things about my body. The muscles I use to sing have forgotten how to do it. It was a real challenge to sing like I used to. It made me realize that I've been working my way up the ranks since childhood. Last year's tour with Ms. Kajiura was particularly tough. It was like rehabilitation, and my voice gradually got better. My body is stronger now too. I feel like I can sing much better, both high and low, than before I gave birth, and I'm more powerful. My figure hasn't completely returned to normal, and I'm still a little on the larger side. But as a singer, I'm starting to think that might be better," she said with a laugh.

Oda made her solo debut in 2007 with "Brilliant World," and released her first album, "PLACE," in 2013. She has garnered support both domestically and internationally for her numerous vocal performances and lyrics for theme songs of games and anime. She has also participated as a vocalist in various projects, including Kajiura's solo project "FictionJunction," further developing her career as a singer.

I appreciate Kaori talking about how she’s experienced changes with her singing as a result of starting a family.
