Here I want to make a Kaori Oda Tag
(I will answer my question a bit later on)
1) How did you become a Fan of Kaori?
2) What do you like about her (personality, music, etc...)
3) What do you dislike?
4) What is your favorite song of hers?
5) What is your least favorite?
6) What is your favorite album?
7) What is your least favorite?
8) Do you like her more as a member of FJ or as a soloist?
9) Do you have any merch?
10) Did you ever visited one of her lives?

1. I started listening to her from the Tsubasa Chronicle soundtrack. However, I became a fan after I chanced upon the live performance of dream scape from YK Live Vol. 2, and when I saw the Sound Horizon Shaytan PV.
2. I really love her solo music, especially the ballads. I also used to watch some episodes from colorful mode, and she has a bubbly personality.
3. Nothing to dislike.
4. Favorite songs from each album:
  • PLACE: Promise, Sekai no Hate De, Hajimari no Kioku, Emotional, and Calling
  • Colors: Escape and Shiro Hitohira
  • Make It: Tsuisou Canon, Onaji Sora wo, Kurenai Musubi, Zero Tokei
  • Gift: All of the songs. I think this album is her best. I have to emphasize Savanna no Hayate, though, because I love the scat singing.
  • Flowers: All of the songs. Props to the three jazzy songs.
  • Non-album: Shinai Naru Story, I still lovin' you, Hikari no Prelude, For Whom
5. I'm not fond of her earlier songs with weird arrangements, e.g., PLACE and GRASP.
6. Favorite albums are Gift and Flowers.
7. Least favorite is Colors.
8. I love her solo. Her solo works show her prowess as a powerful and versatile singer. I am particularly fond of her ballad works with good arrangements. I also love listening to the karaoke versions of her songs, just to hear her chorus work as well. She also gets to work with various composers, and so far, I love her collab with Michiko Naruke and MANYO.
9. I only have her acoustic album CD, if that counts.
10. Nope.

Adding here my favorite music video: Give it to you.
Least favorite music video: Hana wa utsutsu ni. The color grading was inconsistent.

Also, I love her songs scattered across various OSTs (Medabots, Gunslinger Stratos, Wild Arms), Another Union, Metamorphose, and Sound Horizon.

There are a couple of songs released post-Flowers. I hope these songs get to be released, even if they are in digital format.

You would spend all your married life just sharing your love for Kaori!

Im flattered. Thank you.

Sharing here some videos where the main vocals were extracted, leaving only the chorus lines of Kaori, Yuriko, and Kajiura.

Love this! Thanks for sharing.

Being a fan of harmony and the function of BGVs I really enjoyed listening to the tracks you shared. I was hoping I could hear some Kalafina classics treated the same way (partly to confirm the importance of the backing tracks used in lives-including with Yuriko's and other chorus voices).

Then I went to the main page of the YouTube channel and saw that what I was hoping for was already available! I look forward to listening to a lot of them...! It helps me to listen to the musical/instrumental arrangement and development over time, and also have an idea of the mixing and the vocal performance of the chorus/backing vocals as well, since my memory would fill back in the lead vocal (almost as if the lead vocal is then transformed to a backing vocal).

Is this your YouTube channel?

One of the more obscure tracks is piacere!(織田かおり solo version)from Haruka Shimotsuki's れっつごー☆シモツキン CD:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skUIVujkulc
A joyful song by Haruka, and a pleasant performance from Kaori.
I am a fan of her head voice (the connected form she uses here) and hope she has more songs written to exploit/reflect the beauty of her voice.
