as one of the biggest fashion and looks critic here I honestly advice you to get your eyes checked because Keiko looked like shit there. her hair is messy, the angle from where the photo is taken is bad, her eyes looked unnaturally big, and her cheeks looked overly puffy because of this pouty expression they keep asking the girls to make. there, i even badmouthed Keiko. is it really hard for them to let the girls smile for once in their cd cover/calendar/pamphlet?
 
Just because you're a critic doesn't mean you're right. Also counteracting in the exact same manner is ineffective. The angle doesn't bother me at all, the eyes look more like she's wearing makeup and I don't really see any issue there, the messy hair I can agree with but messy hair has its own appeal in my opinion. The smiling thing I can also agree with, I wish they would smile more in photoshoots. I may not know all the intricate details and everything about the ways of photography but I honestly don't see anything wrong with that photo at all, I didn't see anything wrong with it at a glance nor am I seeing anything wrong after further inspection in order to check your claims, she looks lovely to me.
 
Of the three girls, Keiko definitely looks the most...unnatural in that picture. Kind of like a doll tbh. Still cute though.
 
It's a bit of an awkward pose perhaps, but not all that bad. TBH I don't think it's even possible for her to look anything less than good in a photo, unless they left the lens cap on the camera or something.
 
I think the biggest problem is that some people think of Keiko as an absolute beauty goddess (or their ideal girlfriend) and are angry when they see her unlike in their dreams...
 
Even though Hikaru's hair is weird in the pic, I like it. And Wakana is beautiful here. As for Keiko, I would have to agree with @ritardando in that Keiko looked really bad in it.

I do like Hikaru's hair! I've had it like that *feels ashamed*. Wakana looks so beautiful! I can't see nothing wrong with Keiko.
 
I think that Hikaru's hair look weird because it hides a part of her forehead while her usual hairstyles show it entirely. However I think she looks gorgeous. Wakana is Wakana, 'nuff said. Keiko's pose looks kind of plastic and the angle is strange but can Keiko look bad in anything? I'd say no.
 
I really like this picture. True, I think it's just weird because Keiko's head is tilted. She actually kind of looks like Kaori in this pic. I didn't recognize her very much. Hikaru is okay (Hikaru likes that color blue huh? I heard they chose their outfits for the Best lives and though of it when I saw this the first time) And Wakana is really pretty, I wish my hair was that fine (and also that wavy curly style which I have normally, but it's so thick and frizzy). And I am 30 and do not look my age, but I guess it's not just me after all. heh She can look older. But this she still looks younger. So maybe if they have more pics in these dresses they will be in a forest/garden? It looks that way in the picture a bit.
 
I do see her as my (physically) ideal type of girl. The problem is that their staff always give her either the worst dresses or pose her with the ugliest and most awkward pose. Wakana and Hikaru almost always got something that make them look prettier. Only Keiko looked uglier in their photo releases. It's not like she's not photogenic. She looked perfectly fine in their ordinary pictures.

Hikaru in the April picture is my absolute favorite! The set (January through April) is awesome in general, though. Wakana in October is also lovely.
