why don't you just "rip" the apk of the official application?

at least, that's the only way for now. illegal, I know.
 
I know (you can do this using Android emulator) but I was not really motivated to do it because I think part of the application will probably not work well on my phone.

I am not sure it is illegal as you rip a free application. (but I am not an expert )
