Hello Everyone !!

At last I'm writing a topic !!

well, while i was listening to Kajiurian music and specifically Awake of Aquarian Age

I thought of how much i like yuki's music that i'm starting not to take liking to any other musics easily !!!

are you guys the same ?!
and if you have certain singers or bands you like would you please mention them ?

for me i like Aqua Timez and Eiko Shimamiya :sohappy:

but Yuki's projects are the top :ohoho:

My playlist consists mostly of Yuki Kajiura (I think 90% of all songs are by Yuki :ohoho: )
But I also listen to Rammstein :ohoho: and Lara Fabian :nosebleed: (They are the most well-known among the bands and singers I usually listen to)

I've been listening to I've Sound's utahime before starting listening to Kajiura's utahime.

Mami Kawada, KOTOKO, MELL, etc...

Current like would vary from Nana Mizuki to Yui Sakakibara.

~Mami Kawada (my 2nd.. :plot: )
~skillet (i don't bother the name :XD: )
~linkin park
~my chemical romance (i super like their song "sleep")

m2m.. :ohoho:

Anything composed by Shoji Meguro! (the Persona 3 and Persona 4 soundtracks and ...well... any Shin Megami Tensei game soundtrack, hes done them all :XD: )

HANGRY&ANGRY
They sound kinda like a japanese version of t.A.T.u.(says my bestie)

And if you like k-pop i highly recommend Brown Eyed Girls

Nobuo Uematsu (my 2nd fav composer), shoji Meguro, Sound Horizon, Abingdon Boys School, Nana Mizuki etc2, and lately I like Yuya Matsushita's songs :dote:

Lately I've been obsessed with Yuki Kajiura and Kalafina, as well as Sound Horizon!

But I actually like 578236401 kinds of music and artists, even though the last few years I've been mostly listening to japanese music, j-pop and j-rock, and my favorite japanese artists are (apart from Kajiura) Koda Kumi, Utada Hikaru, Dir en grey and X Japan :sohappy:

Does anyone know them? :uh..:

I know Dir en grey, but I don't like their music very much

I know all of them but only listen to Koda Kumi and Utada Hikaru :tea:

It seems that most of the people who like Yuki Kajiura tend to listen to j-pop more... And to be honest I started listening to more j-pop after I discovered Yuki :XD:

Not really. I just started listening to Kajiura recently. :tea:

I've been listening to J-pop since around 10 years ago :XD:

more focused on J-pop/Anison since 4-5 years ago :tea:

As for me, I don't listen to j-pop at all except for a few songs by Kokia or Hitomi

I like these musicians

the list is in order of importance

1st.) KOKIA
2nd.) Yuki Kajiura
3rd.) KOTOKO
4th.) Taku Iwasaki
5th.) Yasunori Mitsuda
6th.) GACKT
7th.) Linkin Park
8th.) Bjork
9th.) Akiko Shikata
10th.) YUI

I never thought that Hua Xiao Min likes Björk.

Hm, yeah... I was once a fan of Yasunori Mitsuda, but thanks to Yuki Kajiura, I only follow japanese musics from her and Susumu Hirasawa ^^ hardcorely. Others are okay, but I'm just as crazy as I am to yuki's and susumu's

My fave artist are mostly western, Björk, massive attack, arcade fire, unkle, portishead, Clint Mansell

I think YUki Kajiura has influenced Akiko Shikata Profoundly.

No matter why Akiko Shikata :omg:

Well, from Japanese musicians, I like Ali Project, Taku Iwasaki, Yoko "Voldemort" Kanno :ohoho:, Maaya Sakamoto (even apart from Yoko), Susumu Hirasawa, Angela and L'Arc-en-Ciel. Generally, I listen to lots of J-pop (the more anime you watch, the more J-pop you are exposed to :knife: ), and many stay in my playlist. I generally treat J-pop better than Western, Russian or Belarusian pop, since it places greater emphasis on melody and arrangement.
From western musicians - Elton John, Mike Oldfield, Genesis, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sting, Bryan Adams, Enya. I also came to like Gorillaz, their music is amusingly diverse in genre (too bad they've only got two albums).
Russian music... from pop, I only like the works composed by Konstantin Meladze (not that this name will be known to anyone here, but Im' just accounting for the sake of accounting :XD: ), and there a a couple of Russian rock bands I like.
Belarusian music... :uh..: :uh..: :uh..: :uh..: :uh..: :uh..: :uh..:
Only a song here, a song there... There's not a single musician/band I could take fancy to. Belarusian pop music seems to be copied from Russia, and usually not the very best examples at all. :blood:

P.S. I've just re-read the topic title and realised we hae successfully offtopped it, too. :XD: Cheers!

Via Gra? :XD:
to be honest I like some of their songs too. as well as their PVs :ohoho:

I have known his works for a long time, namely the ones he writes for his brother. And Via Gra have some really decent (if decent is an appropriate word in their case :ohoho: ) songs. IMHO Meladze is one of the few really good song makers in Russian pop music. Though the song he wrote for Eurovision was far from the top of his abilities. :uh..:
