Magia was great, one of the better performances since the Eden Live, Keiko kinda got loud near the end but she supported really well. Far On The Water was good as always

So, in spirit of the TGU interview I went hunting and found this
It's not really a substantial interview but Keiko was so cute:sohappy: They were all such cinnamon rolls in this interview.
Also can we appreciate the meaning Keiko gave to the title of the album, even if it is fake is so sweet :dote:
Such a sweet interview

Forgot to mention, does this count as media? Two months ago, Watchmojo.com (a famous top 10 youtube channel) uploaded a video called "Top 10 Anime Ending Themes" Magia made Number One. This is what the host had to say:

"Nothing screams 'severe change' like our final entry. While the ending animation is rather simple, Kalafina's mystical chanting over an ominous beat creates a much darker tone. building the groundwork for the rest of the series. Puella Magi Madoka Magica is one of the darkest magical girl series ever and Magia (it's not pronounced 'majia') reminds the audience of this with its extremely menacing tones and strong beats."

You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPvzRl4F5kY

^ Wait, Magia is not pronounced 'majia'?! :omgz: I never really paid attention. Oops. Looking back, I think Kalafina pronounces it Ma-ge (as in the karate gi)-a, which personally I like because I prefer the the harder 'g' sound, so I dunno why I've been using the soft 'g'.

Edit: Whoops, I confused hard and soft 'g' in my preference.

Majia is an obvious pronunciation since it's similar to, well, the pronunciation of Magic. However if I'm not mistaken its derived from Latin, in which case a pronunciation like Maggia (like the name Maggie) would presumably be correct, right? They never were ones for soft letters.

^ I think magia is magic (as a noun) in Spanish, though I distinctly remember hearing talk of deriving from Latin when discussing this song, for some reason. But yeah, how magic is pronounced in English is probably why I say it with a soft 'g'.

^ Oh, no, you're not really wrong! Kalafina doesn't pronounce it as 'majia' afaik. I guess it just depends on the language you're looking at. No need to be sorry. :)

considering how all the (non movie) pmmm OST tracks titles are in Latin, I think it's safe to say that this song title is the Latin word as well
as for how it's pronounced, I have no clue. We never had to do presentations in Latin, so I never learned how to properly pronounce anything (apart from "c" always being hard)

Oh, wow, the Latin track titles did not even cross my mind. Yeah, then the Latin-base is a pretty good bet, though I don't know Latin either.

I'm glad "Sayonara Solitia" got an honorable mention, but I wish it was on the list. I love that song so much.

Kalafina was on Lisani TV!

They all look adorable. and does this mean that the Lisani live is coming soon? because I've been waiting for that.

LisAni TV is just a Kalafina feature on their TV show. Kalafina's not participating in this year's LisAni LIVE (which just happened tonight haha). Probably because it clashed with their anniversary live (8th Anni LIVE was on the 22nd and 23rd, while LisAni was on the 23rd and 24th).

Kalafina is a LisAni regular, so I would at least expect them to perform next year.

Ahh. Makes sense, Animelo was really good though so we have that at least.

@LacrimosaRaven it's been crazy in the past, Kalafina were "special" guests at Animelo Summer Live 2011 and didn't appear in the videos or take part in the final song (or appear backstage at the time I met Chiaki Ishikawa). Animax Musix and Lisani just get limited broadcasts and no video release.

I wish more of the previously unreleased videos (both live performances and PV's) would appear as a bonus disc on some other video release.

I'm still annoyed that Kalafina were the only band other than TM Revolution that didn't appear on the Animelo release. Oh well.

@Seasonreaper - from day 1 of Animelo Summer Live 2011 we didn't get video releases of:

  1. Everlasting Luv / BREAKERZ (Detective Conan OP)
    ...
  2. Space Battleship Yamato / Isao Sasaki (Space Battleship Yamato OP)
  3. Galaxy Express 999 / Isao Sasaki (Galaxy Express 999 OP)

One of the ironies for the artists who weren't included on the videos is that many people end up thinking that they never appeared in those concerts, since they see the videos of the concerts without those artists (e.g. Sound Horizon appeared in 2008 and performed Asa to Yoru no Roman / Dorei Ichiba / Seisen no Iberia (medley)). 2010 and 2014 were the only released videos so far that didn't have tracks removed.
