Ok...so yeah...Yuki is well known in Asia but in the rest of the world, mention Yuki Kajiura and only Anime fans will know the name. And yes, Beethoven or Mozart are much more well known as composers...but they're also both long dead. As far as living composers go, in the US, Canada, and the UK, I'd have to say that John Williams is probably much more well known.

But yeah, who knows how much money Yuki has. At least most of the recordings she's done were published through Victor Entertainment. If she did most of it under SME Japan (Kalafina), you can bet that the RIAA would rear it's ugly head.

...which on a completely unrelated note, the RIAA and recording studios in general are being sued in both Canada and the US for fixing prices and (the really ironic one) pirating music...

Basically soundtrack composers aren't that well-known in general. The only movie soundtrack composers I know (+ Yuki of course) are John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone. And some other guy whose name I have temporarily forgotten

I think it's safe to say she's super rich! She used to be an engineer. Plus, for all the work she's done, and all those concerts, and likely all kinds of support in the of endorsements (I'm not sure, it's possible, right?), why wouldn't she be?

I think in the end the richness is not just about how much money she has. I can see her saying that. I could see her saying that her life enriched and she is very fortunate. For various reasons, like how she was able to make her dreams come true, that she has worked with and met many wonderful people, etc. That's really the most important thing. =)

Yeah, you said it.. I dreamed to be one of Yuki's affiliated vocalists.. haha.. or maybe to play the Piano as great as her.. But it's hard.. Quite disappointing sometimes..

You're welcome. =) Even if you do your best, it's easy to get discouraged, even the best of us, as they say. I really do think the support and belief (from yourself and the one that supports you) are the most important things. I should listen to my own advice.
