Hi everyone! ^^

I fell in love with Yuki Kajiura's beautiful dark tune when I listened to Pandora Hearts OST, years ago. I just couldn't stop listening to her music, because it was very different from all the music I was used to.

In I Talk to The Rain from TC, I felt I could almost understand what Eri Itou was singing in kajiurago, but in a language that would directly touch my soul. Then, when the violin part started, I felt I could almost understand what the violin was singing! 0.0 Each Kajiura's song was an unique experience to me.

I feel very grateful to Kajiura-san, because her songs -- from the light ones to the dark ones -- make the world more beautiful. And I thought it would be amazing if I could send her something beautiful too, with my feelings into it.
That is why I hope I can participate on this year's birthday present project. ^^

Oh, and Kalafina has been my favorite band for some years now!

Ah this sure brings back memories :tea: I joined this forum last year b/c I wanted to contribute to the BD project as well! ^^ Since then I've had tons of fun here. Hope u will feel the same!

Welcome Lyra Laurant! I hope that you can get to see Yuki Kajiura and her singers live in concert soon (even better with all the instrumentalists).

It's great to have you join the project! :dote: I am Liana and have been here awhile now, so feel free to ask any questions. heh Also I loooove Kalafina, and I loved how you described Yuki's works. That is basically how I see it too. (And a lot of the music that I like) She has such a unique take on things, especially with Kala's songs. Well, hope you like it here!

I talk to the rain has never been released as live, so you probably refer to the recording from the OST. That's Eri Itou singing, not the FJ girls. Tsubasa OST was made 2005-2006 while FJ became 1 group (instead of solo collabs in 2009, and so far that havent sung all together in OSTs, eg you can hear Yuuka in Madlax bgms, Wakana in Hokuto no Ken, El cazador de la bruja, Sekai Satoyama, Pandora Hearts, Kara no Kyoukai (along with Keiko as Kalafina), Rekishi Hiwa Historia I, Kaori in Rekishi Hiwa Historia II and Yuriko in almost everything, but she doesnt count as FJ when she doesnt sing with them. :)

Welcome to the forum, Lyra! I also managed to discover Yuki through Pandora Hearts as well. I then became totally addicted to the series from the anime to the manga... Gil has really become a favorite character by fans of this series, no? xD

As for Yuki, I started hearing her songs in the Gundam SEED series without knowing that those were made by her, yet those were awesome already for me.

A few weeks ago i was studying about Sound Horizon (Kaori lead me there) but gave up because the world is bigger than i thought :XD: i guess i'll study about it again (because i'm in holiday~)
(my favorite is Hoshikuzu no kawahimo from TTE III because Kaori played as Pleut XD)

In my case, I first knew about Sound Horizon because I was watching some FJ lives and I found Sajin no Kanata e. *nostalgic memories*
As a big fan, of course I recommend exploring the wide Sound Horizon Kingdom! ^^ And I agree, Hoshikuzu no Kawahimo is beautiful, I also love Kaori's Miezaru Ude from TEE III :plz:

i just realized that there were full FJ about in the middle of video.
they were so young that i couldn't recognize them :shy: and Yuki's voice :shy:

Miezaru Ude is my first song (searched "Kaori" and "SH", that song came firstly), and i'm really impressed by how they sing and moving and dancing... now i know why Kaori rarely (or never) looks tired while singing live in FJ :XD:

Emily does look like talking doll XD Break is a weirdo anyway, so having a talking doll makes sense for him :XD:
 
^I just love when Yuki and Revo start singing together! They are my favorite composers... It is perfect! :shy:

Once Keiko commented she and Kaori are always dancing and making weird faces during their lives... I think they have a lot of energy! :XD:

Yeah, I colored it manually... That was my first time trying to use watercolors, and you can see the result of me panicking because I screwed up the background... :spotlight:

Completely agree! XD. Break is a weirdo, but somehow he was a bishounen in the past? XD. He is one of my favorite characters. ^^ I should try to draw him too (and Oswald, and Jack, and Vincent, and Lacie...)

and i didn't know Yuki could sing in such that cute voice~~

i think so! Kaori has really great emotion in her face (Hikaru too~ hihihi) and Keiko always dance here and there. they look like in the exact opposite of the lady Wakana and Yuriko who sing calmly...
though Yuriko once said "I want to dance like Keiko-chan! I want to do 'look at me!' dance!" :XD:

that's quite good for first experience... while i'm just using pencils for colouring :uh..: (i'm bad at choosing colours)
ah, now that i look at it thoroughly, why didn't you give some shadows effect? (around the neck down to his clothes, and the hair too). It'll make him looks better ^w^
