Go Shiina & (notsomuch) Yuki Kajiura to compose for Kimetsu no Yaiba (S4: Airing May 12)

Nightmare

Yuki is lord of heaven and earth
There's still no official announcement yet so take it as a rumor for now but..

According for those who attended Shounen Jump event??, they showed the PV trailer and I guess they either heard Kajiura's distinct sound or they showed her name on it. Gonna wait for PV to surface....

Edit: Also Go Shiina for the music

Oooh cool. I wonder how it'll work out hue. Hopefully she can learn something from Go Shiina. Dude can make some awesome, bombastic music.

That’s exciting. Does anyone have a VPN or live in a country (presumably Japan) where you can view this video? I wonder of there’s music in it: https://youtu.be/j6coxXGu6mM

I think that's the old pv

I heard they will show the new pv soon so we gonna wait for a while :cheer:

I read the manga when they announced that ufotable will be responsible for the production of the anime and I have a suspicion Kajiura will somehow be a part of the staff lol can we now conclude that most of the production staff in ufotable is Kajiura fanboy/girl? :ohoho:

It's good that Go Shiina will also take part of the music we'll gonna be oversaturated will her music in 2019 it's a miracle that she decided to continue Alicization since AFAIK she haven't confirm officially for half a year if she'll continue to the point the author of SAO is relieved on the news lol

Swordfights like Katsugeki. definitely Shounen in action, story and comedy but bordeline Seinen due to blood but the setting and the atmosphere in my opinion fits ufotable style? I think it's the first time they will handle Shounen series? When I read the manga i also thought Kajiura would fit but some of the scenes(like abrupt comedy in serious situation) I can't imagine her OST lol the story is decent though

Same, hue. I read about the anime being produced by Ufotable a couple of months ago, and I thought it would be interesting if Kajiura did the music.

Now I'm curious. First the Composer Summit concert, and now this. Who's pairing Kajiura and Go Shiina!?

Meh. At least it's something new. Maybe it will impress...

The story doesn’t sound all that interesting, but I love Go Shiina’s music so I think this will be an interesting pairing at least. He’s much more versatile than Kajiura, and he has a better handle on orchestra. Hopefully Kajiura picks up some tips from him.

I think its interesting how Kajiura is listed first among the two. Maybe she takes bigger chunk of the OST ?

anyway im really curious about how the ost will turn out. I hope the strings arrangement will be handled by Go Shina because the ones by Kajiura have been very monotonous lately, and that she does the chorus parts.

Iunno. Nothing on the official site. I wasn't expecting one until Comiket considering it's a spring show...

Sorry for the late reply. Yes they did show it on the same event but I guess it's not allowed yet for the public? And ufotable is kind of busy promoting GE, HF2 and Emiya-san so maybe next year or during Christmas I hope....

@grunty: I just remember that the composers summit concert is also on Dec 28 so its the perfect day for the trailer, who knows they might even play some bgm as teaser in the encore.
