I’ve literally broken the news about the ‘release date’ THREE DIFFERENT TIMES here and that’s not even as many as it’s been delayed LOL.
 
the shaft staff twitter account said that the release date is confirmed but they're still working on the movie and they're striving to deliver a satisfying final product. now i'm (more) hopeful that the movie is finally gonna be released. i just want to see the conclusion to the og quintet's story (if they're not opting for another open ending lmao)
 
In case someone is confused with the 2021 one, that was the original announcement of this movie being in production, NOT a subject of delay.

Also the 2025 Winter and February 2026 ones being separated is kind of dishonest (without knowing what the text in the picture actually says). Because February 2026 is the 2025 Winter season.

Meanwhile everyone's joking about the postponements in the comments. XD I mean, it could happen again, sure, but this is the first time we have a proper date for the opening. Give SHAFT one chance at least, lol.
 
The fact that it opened on Madoka’s teeth for some reason was truly the most Shaft thing ever, 100/10.

Anyways trailer felt unnecessary. Idk what those new girls are gonna do but one of them’s voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa so that’s a good sign. I like her.
 
Oh its out! Kinda reminds of "Look, here comes the parade" in style but has strings instead of the harpsicord and chorus instead of the sample voices. I like it :D

Yeah I hate that I’m also at this point tbh. I’m a staunch Rebellion defender but I just don’t see how (seemingly) more chaos is going to do these characters any favors. Also the art style is very polished but it’s so jarring compared to the one a decade ago; it’s throwing me off completely.
 
lol even more magical girls, as if the games didn't have enough extra ones. This looks like the pokemon situation where they have to come up with 100ish new ones on every new generation.
