Late to this party, but have my ticket and registration, and will book a flight once I see if Kajiura-sensei + Co. will be doing autograph session during the con. So, A)Does anyone out there want to share room costs with a room they've already booked?, or B)be interested in rooming with an aging fellow Kajiura fan? I've reserved a room at Hotel Figueroa(as near to the Microsoft Theater as I could land/afford at this late date), but if someone has a closer hotel but needs to lighten their financial burden, please keep me in mind! Regardless, hope to see some of you there--this is a Bucket List item I'm looking forward to experiencing!

Looks like I'll be performing a 'surgical strike'--fly in to LA Thursday afternoon, see the show Friday, then fly back to Columbus early afternoon Saturday. True, I'll miss Sunday's 'Music of Yuki Kajiura' panel(Best of Luck to whoever's running that, BTW--anyone know who?), but my wallet will thank me later, plus I want to get back so I can get cracking on expanding my own YK panel for Matsuricon 2018(I've convinced them to give me 2 hours, so I can focus some on See-Saw/FicJnt/Kalafina specifically, as well as her overall anime OST work). But yes, I am Stoked for this--hope to see some of you there, too!

Would that be John Marr hosting the 'Music of Yuki Kajiura' panel?

Thanks So Much--I sent him a quick message thanking him for doing it. If someone does attend it, I'd be intrigued to hear someone give us an overview.

It's Christmas in July for me--I'll be going, probably dressed as Santa Claus, in keeping with the first part of this sentence. Apparently there are spots in The Microsoft where you can grab refreshments/etc.,and wondered if anyone might want to meet in person either before curtain or after-show. Anyone interested? Thanks!

Why does it have to be a separate thread ? Its not like the other one has lots of dicussion.

I’m in the theater now in case anyone wants to say hi before the concert. This is the hottest day I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.

I spoke to Professor Marr after the Yoko Kanno panel earlier today. So great to meet a music prof who is a Kajiura fan too!

The music composer panels are absolutely outstanding. Each of the three profs pick a few pieces representative of the composer’s style, do a quick analysis of the composition, and play the full recording. Lyrics are displayed (romaji + English translation) on a separate slide. It’s only an hour long, so it just feels like they’re scratching the tip of the iceberg, but I love sitting through these presentations.
