Hi all. My name's my username, I'm a music geek, film/TV/anime fan, amateur songwriter and blogger currently living in the north of England...and I'm a fan of Yuki Kajiura's music. I've been a regular visitor to the main site for news and info, but finally decided to join the forum and stop being antisocial. Nice to meet you all! ^_^

If there's anything else you want to know, just ask! :V:

Really digging the cat smilies BTW. Cute!

Good to meet you Martin. I've also loved other movies with a musical theme like Brassed Off and Shine.

How did you first find out about Yuki Kajiura and her music, and have you had a chance to hear the music of See-Saw and Chiaki Ishikawa?

Welcome Martin~! (they're onions, I think, btw :XD: )

Hope to see you around! :sohappy:

Welcome! Hope you like it here, I am Lina. :dote: What kind of songs do you write and do you have any of them online?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I think the first time I heard Yuki's music was when I watched Noir back in the mid-2000s (I read a review that said it had "the best soundtrack since Macross Plus" and watched it purely on that) and picked up on her signature sound later on with Cosette, Kara no Kyoukai and Madoka later on. I've not listened to any of Chiaki Ishikawa's solo songs unfortuantely, but I have See-Saw's Dream Field and really like it...I prefer her FictionJunction era songs more, but it's interesting to hear how her sound has 'evolved' over the years.

I've uploaded a few of my own songs onto Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/touch-the-parallel It's instrumental ambient guitar stuff at the moment and I'm still a beginner with recording, so it's a 'work in progress' really.

My age? I'm almost 30. Which kinda scares me... :uh..:
