Hello everyone! :hi: I think someone had made a similar thread but I wasnt able to find it :uh..:. Anyway, I made this thread in order to start thinking what we can make for present to Yuki this year, her birthday is August 6.

Reminder: In 2008 we did a webpage with wishes from everyone and drawings by Zuiyon (who has been away from the forum 2 years now due to overworking for school) anbd coloured by Kerahna, in 2009 we didnt because we made a scrapbook for Kalafina because they were visiting AnimeBoston, and in 2010 we did the CPM cover of everlasting song, decorated by a Zuiyon drawing again. This year I have heard that people from the forum that are going to go to the Kalafina anime Expo visit are making their own little projects so I dont think there is need to make CPM one too so lets make one for Yuki.

Start Throwning Ideas from: NOW! :cheer:

[EDIT 2 [IMPORTANT]] -Subject of the project]

Okay, I discussed it with Kera and the result was:

Pauline: i think we should do a collage with pictures people send in of anything they want (face, object, drawing)
and arrange the collage in the words "happy birthday" or maybe in the number of her age.

George: and what do you think about the other ideas for the presnt ?
are they too time consuming / difficult to do ?

Kera: too many items
we can save them for later years
or we'll run out of ideas XD

George: I want the project get decided asap so that we can prepare properly

Kera: 1 item per year is more focused

Kera: i think we can safely just tell people to start sending in photos of anything
yourself, drawings, or things that remind you of music, or things that music remind you of
multiple photos are welcome
more photos = better collage

George: what about the Happy Birthday in multiple languages ? lots of people seem to be interested in that.

Kera: it can be a "photo" in the collage if they want to send it in
as an image
to be in cluded

So we proceed on the collage and the Happy Birthday in multiple languages ^^ the other ideas will be saved for the next years.

You can use the email addresses in the contact and credits page to send the images/ photos http://canta-per-me.net/contact-and-credits/ (it will be better if you send it to Kera, since i dont know how to do the collage :XD: )

An interesting idea, and the "Post your photo here" thread will come in really handy. :XD: :ayashii: :dote:
I've been pondering this for a while, but so far I'm miserably short of ideas myself. :leaf: It's almost like we did pretty much everything usually pulled off at remote fan communities... or maybe my scope and imagination in this sphere is way too narrow? :XD: Then I'll put my trust in your imaginaton, guys. :plot:

I like the anime version idea. I could help with that, I usually only draw from anime or my original characters, but I've done anime versions of kalafina and Yuki, and even myself. :dote:

What about adding a little map with the countries where there are members coloured It is easy and Yuki may like it. Besides the main idea of course.

But that would be rather more effective with the page like cause people needed to post their country there

^ that's was an idea (of shin I think) years ago, but of a sphere thing like earth. Yes I think the map is a good idea too. It may also make Yuki realise that her fans are not only in Japan, US, or China :XD: :plot:

This may a little bit bothersome and complicated, but I was thinking about us writing little (really, little) messages to her in our OWN language, and then provide the translation (if possible, even in Japanese). That way, it would reforce the idea that she has a worldwide fandom and the idea that language isn't a barrier etc etc etc.

How about a large collage of all the member's photos that can be combined into Yuki's portrait using each member's photo as a large "pixel" for the artwork?

A bit like this... http://www.ohrc.on.ca/hr101/img/Face-Collage.jpg

ADD: The birthday/personal message thingy can also be combined with the collage idea, changing perhaps into a giant "otanjoubi omedeto" message or something of that sort.

It can be printed onto a really large card and presented. Perhaps with a bookbound compilation of the full-sized messages (translated) too. :sparkleguy:

it requires more photos than we have faces for XD
maybe we can open the collage subject matter up, to include non-face photos... e.g. everyone's headphones or favorite place or something

I like the word collage thing but in Japanese ugh I think I would have problems doing that even If I have studied Japanese for 2 years and asking just the people with Japanese knowledge to translate it will be too much work.

I like the anime version of CPM member, Map & Happy Birthday message in our own language (and translate it into simple English....? Idk) :dote:

The non-face subject is pretty interesting too. I don't have headphone and my earphone is normal, haha! Can it be something that is precious to our self? (gadget, etc...)

Well maybe putting just the words "Happy birthday" in every language we know (something like a image cloud) as first page would look great.
