Complain about all!

^lol That would be nice, although centipieds do eat the other bugs. I still don't like them.

Anyways, back is a little stiff today. And my arms are a little sore, I think I worked out too much last night. heh

I like working out, it makes me feel 〜☆tough☆〜

^lol That would be nice, although centipieds do eat the other bugs. I still don't like them.

THAT DOESN'T MATTER. Bugs are gross no matter what they eat. :uh..:

I want more studio live PVs! Why is Akatsuki no Kuruma the only song that got one?? I definitely would've preferred a studio live PV for Magia... :rain:

I'm still wainting for a miracle although I'm sure it won't happen tomorrow :uh..:

While L.A. Noire is a fun investigation game in its own right, it's not very noir. I AM DISAPPOINT.

Also, there need to be more late 1800s, early 1900s Sherlock Holmes games. It'd be too much to ask Sir Conan Doyle to write it lolol but I still want some Sherlock Watson bro BFF times as well as real tough but fun puzzles.

^Hehe noir, I should watch it again.

Anyways, I am very warm today for some reason. I hope I'm not getting the flu virus that's going around here. And I have heartburn. :XD:

Ahhh, why do I love McDonalds so much? I eat like such a fatty. But look fit and healthy, so who cares.

...I should stop eating so much, or I won't stay thin for long!

Oh, that's too bad...I was thinking that it was very...noir-ish :uh..:

You're right. I bought a Holmes vs. Lupin game once, and it was absolutely awful. Haven't gotten past the third or fourth strangely-explained puzzle yet, the graphics are bland and terrible, and the controls are weird. Thankfully I got it cheap :psst:

My best friend is a... connoisseur of sorts, for old Hollywood movies. Noir movies often fall into that spectrum, and since we share a lot of the same interests, I end up watching the movies she does. Well, I'm getting there, at least.

They have the period right, with the cars and the fashion and the buildings, but the wittiness and the grittiness that made noir films just aren't there. It's all bright and colourful and I don't really feel any sense of "oh man" that noir things are supposed to give. It's really a shame.

Since I grew up with the PS1 and the dreamcast, graphics have never bothered me, and have always been secondary. But lots of modern developers are using graphics as a replacement for bad stories, characters and plot development, which sucks.

Good puzzles and/or case deductions are admittedly hard to make, because you have to make sure they all make sense and it's not all relying on wild guessing and luck. BUT THAT DOESN'T EXCUSE IT.

And it also annoys me when people try and pass off the "point and click to find a concealed item" games as mystery games. They're not mystery or puzzle games! :blood:

I went on a rant.

No mysterious lighting and creepy use of shadows!? That's what makes noir movies so good!

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of those either. Always disappointing when I pick something up and see the telltale screenshots on the back :ohoho:

By the way, have you tried the Nancy Drew PC games? They're amazingly good, especially the slightly older ones. They are point-and-click, but they also involve talking to people, solving (sensible) puzzles, and going to different locations under your own power. I've been playing them for years and I'm usually not disappointed.

EDIT

I don't know why I can't finish installing Japanese support on my computer! I'm doing everything right, but the only language that shows up is English :wai:

EDIT 2

They left out a step. ばかばかしさ... :bloodlust:

None of that! And none of the witty dialogue that made old Hollywood movies, either! :blood:

Well, I'll check them out! I've also never really read the Nancy Drew books, because lol Sherlock Holmes was sociopathic and well-dressed and intelligent and amazing enough to overwhelm me.

Also, augh why don't I have more songs in other languages on my iPod. :omg:
