I listened to the soundtrack and its very well done!! But I get the feeling that some tracks drag for too long, like there's a beginning melody and the he/she repeats it with other or same instruments for then most of the rest of the tracks. I will do a better review once I listen it some more times.

btw, finally listened to works for NHK vol3, it's so good.

Kawai is such a busy bee.

^That's amazing. The Sky Crawlers is such a great movie - it was the first thing I bought on blu-ray. Everything about it is haunting and beautiful...especially the music.
 
Hanamoyu ost2, on kawai's baidu again. Just as magical as ost1. There's some Shikata but thankfully only on 2 tracks. I just dislike her faint Turaida singing style - I feel even the main theme is better without her (they included an instrumental version). Props to uploader.

^ ah the instrumentation... so good.
Shikata's voice does sound a bit diffuse though it didn't bother me that much. The instrumental version is really great.
