Boys versus girls *moichi's is back*

I completely agree sometimes. That's one of the reasons why the SIGN OST isn't my favorite - there are a lot of songs that just stretch on interminably, and while that's good for background music (like the type you could listen to in a store), it's not very entertaining when you're concentrating on it.

352

Oh, good to know I'm not just being nitpicky then. And yeah, I agree that it works for background music but in other cases it's just...bland.

350

for me, it depends on how interesting the segment is, and if it fits in or contributes anything. like for ltsfd, i disliked the strings part because it was repetitive and recurring :XD: magia's... while i enjoy it, i think it disrupts the flow of the song due to its length.

348

And then there's Mai from the Mai-Otome OST, and Morganna from SIGN, both of which drive me crazy :blood:

350

@ninetales : thanks you :shy:

@wintersviolet : i like many of her acoustic performances, especially, The Edge of Glory

348

I have this problem with Red Moon and fantasia. Both have solos that, while being nice, were stretched on too much.

346

@ninetales: i haven't listened to those OSTs yet :imdead:

@kp-x: +1. at first it's like "oh this is nice, me like" and then after a while it's like "uh... i'm ready to move on now" :XD:

@Sol: same here! her voice really shines in acoustic performances :stars:

The Fantasia instrumental just struck me as being kinda useless, to be honest. I like the solo, of course, but the whole mood of it is too similar to the bridge of Kyrie.

But on the other hand, I really like the instrumental parts of Magnolia because the guitar is so prominent

@Winter: You should try them! SIGN is pretty different than her usual work, and Mai-Otome is actually very good.

338

i like magnolia's instrumental also~

and it turns out i have both OSTs, just haven't listened to either. :XD:

wanna ask you both, what's your favorite yuki OST?

332

I'm always torn between El Cazador and KnK Collection. El Cazador has The Place of Eternity (my favorite Kajiurago piece), the Jr harmonica songs, and Inca Rose (light jazz Korechan is unbelievable), but then KnK Collection has Spiral and Everything, Not Nothing and Into the Light...

Both of them have completely different moods all through, so I think I can safely say that they're tied. :shy:

KP-X, you keep embarrassing me here... :XD:

330

Sorry :XD:

Niney, you know the answer already :ohoho: Surrender to the beauty of the garden of the sinners (LOL)

Well, maybe I'd choose Xenosaga III. I also like Rekishi II as well. I have to listen more to others OSTs; I've given a "shallow" listen to nearly all of them but I have to pay more attention in order to discover other favorites XD

328

Nah, it's okay. I make it obvious anyway :psst:

True, Xeno III is very good. Febronia #2, Hepatica #3~I believe in you, and especially Outrageous...I consider that to be Korechan's solo song, since his guitar sounds like a voice there

328

i like this embarrassment :ohoho: some good old light hearted teasing is healthy for the soul :ohoho: *bricked*

well, we're in agreement for the knk ost :XD: i personally love the 2nd rhh ost, because of the variety in instruments and feelings the songs evoke.

well maybe dat oboe helped too mmm

324

:plot: :plot:

I like RHH 2 myself, mainly because of Kaori's wonderful Kajiurago, but some of the later songs in it like Must Go Ahead, Somehow and Break Down The Door aren't really my cup of tea. They're more Tsubasa-esque, and to be honest I'm not wild about a lot of the Tsubasa songs. The ones that start out with koto and shamisen and then go into jazz are a little odd :confu:

322

Well, I think at least for me it's difficult to like every single song in an OST so I see whether I loved it more than disliked it lol I looooooove The Breath of a New Era. Piano in low key (I hope I'm not saying anything stupid lol) is just too wonderful ♥
