Boys versus girls *moichi's is back*

Oh, no, I'm still surprised! I just keep wondering what the circumstances were now :ohoho:

I've got it down to two possibilities: 1. He was married and got divorced; 2. He was never married at all. Somehow I think #2 is more likely... :psst:

No way! :swt: I'm just curious! :swt:

I even asked him once if he could post a picture of his son, but he never answered. :imdead:

he wants to keep that info from PRYING EYES :XD:

btw, can you tell between the different musicians for studio versions? (ex: kido kiyo and konno hitoshi)

406

I realized that only after he didn't answer :imdead:

For the violinists, yes. I could elaborate if you like...

404

from YOUR prying eyes
jk jk ok i stop now

yes please! although maybe later :glower:

400

maybe it'll pop up one day when you least expect it :ayashii:

it seems the score's okay now. please continue! :plz:

Maybe...I wonder if he looks a lot like Jr? :ayashii:

Okay! For Konno and Kido, the big difference is the way they play. Konno tends to keep any vibrato from a long note until the end, rather like a singing voice, while Kido puts in the vibrato right away. The tone of their violins are different too - I find that Kido's has more of a flat trebly sound, while Konno's is more rich. But I'm biased towards him anyway. :XD:

Any other questions? :plot:

396

... now i wanna go back and listen to everything with them in it :XD:

thanks! and what about the other violinists/musicians?

394

You should :plot:

Well, there aren't really any other violinists that Kajiura-sensei normally uses, but for guitar...well, like I said yesterday, Nishikawa tends to either do shrieky stuff or a "choka-choka" sound, so his guitar is very recognizable in comparison to Korechan's.

Drums are tough, but I've noticed that Masuke (with the top hat) tends to do more elaborate drumming, like the end of Mata Kaze, in comparison to Kyo-sama. Piano is kinda easy, since Matsuda normally plays in a good but rather flat manner, while Mino (who did piano in the KnK OST) has a lighter and more jazzy touch sometimes.

As for bass, that's basically indistinguishable :imdead:

392

i feel like shrieky guitar wouldn't be a good fit for most of yuki's music :imdead:

... that's a ton of songs i have to go back to now :XD:

btw i really love the oboist who played "i am a small boat on a river" :shy:

390

Yes, exactly. That's why I don't like Nishikawa very much... :ohoho:

I love that song! There's something so melancholy and relaxing about it :TdT:

Did you catch the clarinet in the F/Z OST? I think it's in A Little Drop of Peace. That's basically the only clarinet that Kajiura-sensei's ever used in her music!

388

someone's here :ayashii:

yes! gives off that nostalgic vibe, too. and the oboe playing is perfect :TdT:

LOL TBH i've never paid much attention to the musicians. probably should, a more healthy place to focus instead of my disappointment with her vocalists :imdead:
