Anipara Ongakukan アニぱら音楽館

A very large number of high quality clips have been uploaded to https://www.youtube.com/@tx3sb/

Kaori Oda appearances are at: https://www.youtube.com/@tx3sb/search?query=織田かおり
This was fun to watch!

I was shocked to hear that she was 167 cm (approximately 5 feet 5.7 inches) when she graduated from elementary school (assuming the YouTube captions were accurate). A bit hilarious when a couple of the hosts joked about "Shingeki no Kyojin". It also made me realize that Kaori must have had a complex about her height as a kid and especially in her teen years. She was probably bullied at some point.

She only grew about 4 inches further until she became an adult, so she just had a massive growth spurt as a young girl. I can relate to that having had a growth spurt as a young teen but not growing much after that.

She played golf in high school, imagine that. She played mahjong at home through her dad.

She's very lovely and has a great figure and stance. She's not a classic diva but more of a pop/soft rock girl (looking up to groups like SPEED when she was young).

I think there was a interview in regards of her beginning with the Harajuku BJ Girls and her cover of the song "What a difference a day makes" in which she mentionend that she had complexes about her height during the time she wore sailor fuku and that going into music helped her to deal with it and the bullying that came with. sadly I cannot find it anymore.

Those kinds of complexes that come with teasing and bullying often lead to suppressive behavior or outright rebelliousness, depending on temperament and mood.

In Keiko it was singing that in that bright high style to sound less masculine, and in Kaori I notice that she bends her shoulders forward a lot of the time to subconsciously limit her height. This leads to her developing tension in her shoulders/neck which I think affects her voice sometimes, especially belting. She sometimes raises her shoulders or tilts her neck back or to the side (I think partly to relieve tension, but of course also for physical expression).

If she stood straight more of the time (like the Eri and Kasahara) I think it would help her have less tension and enable more support for her singing.

Of course standing tall with shoulders back would accentuate her height (relative to others on stage and maybe seem a little "showy" to others) but it's actually a strength and standout feature for her!

I see nothing bad about being tall as a girl. Kids just love to bully those that are different than the majority like someone who is taller /shorter, chubbier or too skinny, or has some disability. I have been target of bullying too so i know well.
