Animelo Summer Live 2015 -THE GATE-! (Kalafina to perform on 08/30)

One Light sounds so awesome with the live band. Hikaru's a bit tired, but still, an excellent performance overall. ring your bell, on the other hand, wasn't as good as Budokan's, mainly because the FBM didn't do as good a job - drumming in the final chorus was terrible. I wish Keiko's mic was louder, though. Hikaru and Wakana's harmonies were very audible, but Keiko's not so much.

Kalafina as usual steals the spotlight during these big group songs. XD

One Light is a song that sounds a lot better when played live in full, they put a ton of effort into making it sound great. It's got a ton of energy. Mixing it together with Identify/Ongaku/Signal made it sound even better when they played it on tour, I hope they keep that setup if they release a live recording and it's a good performance.
 
Ring your bell sounded alright, one light was pretty good except that Wakana was like a piece of wood the entire time (Wakana I love you but most of the time you have little to no stage presence)
The last song was catchy, Kalafina's parts were pretty good, they stood out cause they sounded a whole lot different to those high pitched cute girls (not saying they're not adorable though)
 
RYB was ok... But OL was the best! So full of energy! The gesture and mimic of angry Hikaru was interesting and give a dynamic to the song. I'm a little sad that they were wearing OL dresses - I hope for dresses from Lisani 5 (but from the other hand they would not fit to OL).
 
Am I the only one that finds the screen effects on RYB amazing? Ok.

Two good performances, Hikaru surprised me in RYB, she nailed it.

Of course they shine among all those anisong artists.
 
One Light was great! The LIVE version definitely makes me appreciate the song much more.

WAKANA's voice was nice but it was just so boring... I agree that her stage presence is just non existent.

I would have really liked if WAKANA and KEIKO did the "ahh coltia" Kajiuran at the end of the bridge.. Like why not??

I never liked RYB live because I just personally think the studio version of "koufuku to zetsubou wo utaitai" with WAKANA's "ahh" in the background is the best part of the song next to the BRIDGE Kajiuran, where the magic just isn't captured in the LIVE versions. I guess it's because I'm so captivated by the beautiful shots of the girls in the PV during the Kajiuran bridge that makes me not appreciate their LIVE Kajiuran vocals. And I agree about the terrible percussion.... It was... Dull.
 
One Light was amazing, even if Hikaru sounded a bit out of breath during the verse. :sohappy: Plus, Wakana wasn't being outsung during the chorus, unlike the NicoNico live.

I haven't had time to listen to RyB yet, I'll probably do that as soon as I can get to a pair of headphones.
 
Also, I see Hikaru has been taking some cues from Keiko. When Hikaru grabbed Wakana's waist in the final chorus, my heart went hnnggggggh. Everyone wants a piece of Wakana.
 
Sorry I'm late to the party. heh One Light was good, Wakana was having a bit of trouble it seems since you could tell by her wrinkling her forehead when she does when she's straining. But she did well I think for such a hard song to sing. (At least it is for me.) and she seemed a bit high on some of her background/harmony notes in RYB. But other than that it was great. I liked the screen effects as well, it wasn't blinding, like some of the Budokan lights. Yes, RYB in Budokan was better. I agree on that point. The song they sang all together was nice, even though their part was so short. Who was that heavy set guy? I did not like him very much or the blue haired guy. But other than those things a great performance.
 
@Liana Ilia I wondered who accidentally came in over one of Kalafina's parts in the final group song "The Gate", and whether it will be mixed out in the blu-ray release. (The heavy set guy might have been Hiroaki TOMMY Tominaga - who sings the Jojo's bizarre adventure OP, and the blue-haired guy doing the rap was probably motsu, part of ALTIMA who did Accel World OP and part of m.o.v.e who did a lot of the Initial D songs).

Like Liana I'm also slightly late to the party. One Light was really good, It's probably one of the best performances yet, expecially energy wise. Ring Your Bell was kinda average. I'm not sure. It was extremely energetic but they seemed to have blended better in Budokan.
