Puddle Boots

Guest
Greetings.

I am Puddle Boots. I've been making use of this site for some time for news updates, song lyrics, etc, and have finally been pushed to join the forums by the prospect of participating in the creation of Yuki Kajiura's birthday gift this year.

Like many, I suspect, Magia was the first of Kajiura-sensei's works that I heard, followed closely by Lacrimosa. Two years later, I listen to her music almost exclusively. I was lucky enough to attend the Anime Central live performance in May last year and meet Kalafina in person, however briefly.

Just one favorite song is too difficult to select, but I especially love Obbligato, Storia, Mirai, and from the Madoka Magica soundtracks: Holly Quintet, Nightmare Ballet, Sagitta Luminis, and Symposium Magarum.

I am also having trouble locating any method of changing my profile picture, and if anyone would see fit to point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged. Thank you!

Welcome Puddle Boots! You are doing better than me having actually met Kalafina in person. If you can ever make it to Japan to see Yuki Kajiura and/or any of her musicians and singers, it is well worth it as the Japanese concert experience is extremely professional and polite.

You might see near the top of the message threads - XenForo has been updated to 1.3.1. Complain & Comment Here. If you have the time to post a query there about updating your profile picture, it might be possible to get it resolved. I haven't changed my profile picture since the forum software was changed to Xenforo, so I'm afraid that I'm not much help.

Thanks for participating!

Welcome Puddle Boots to the forum! I hope you will enjoy your stay! :)
You didnt have to join in order to participate in the project since its now open to non memeber too :)

To change your Picture:
1. Go at top right and hover over you username. From the menu that appears click "Avatar" (its near the botton of the first column of options)
2. In the avatar page, click "Upload Avatar" and select a picture that fits the allowed size for this forum (I dont know which they are but I am not sure if the system auto-resizes them)
3. Choose your avatar from the "Current Avatar" if you have more than one.

If this doesnt work then try what Kugayama suggested :)

Are you a boy or girl ? :ayashii:

Thank you all for your kind advice about the profile picture. I have made an inquiry in the manner suggested.

Luckily, joining these forums was probably only a matter of time for me, and the birthday gift project was the perfect excuse.

As to the matter of gender, I identify as unenthusiastically female.

welcome to cpm, Puddle Boots! I went to ACen as well :dote:
enjoy your stay :V:

Hi, Puddle Boots, nice to meet you! :sohappy:

Hope you'll enjoy your time here :ohoho:

Welcome Puddle Boots!! :hi: you're so lucky to have met them in person omg :nosebleed: Have you also listened to any of Fictionjunction's works? They're practically half-Kalafina anyway :ohoho: or Kalafina is two-thirds Fictionjunction :XD:

I own the album Elemental, which is brilliant, but other than that, I'm not incredibly familiar with them, especially with all the non-Kalafina vocalists. I also own FICTION II, and I think some of them sing on that, though I can't be sure.

^ Have a look at the discography section:

http://canta-per-me.net/discography/alphabetical-listing/

for Fiction II:

http://canta-per-me.net/discography/fiction2/

That will give you a better idea of who sings what, or you can look at the song listings:

http://canta-per-me.net/lyrics/

which also lists the vocalists and musicians where known.

The live concert videos (Yuki Kajiura LIVE 2008.07.31, Yuki Kajiura Live vol. #4 and Yuki Kajiura Live vol. #9, and the Kalafina live videos are also worth investigating) - some of the songs from them are on youtube.

@ Puddle Boots You can learn more about Kalafina, FictionJunction and the other vocal projects and vocalists from our Yuki's Vocalists" section of the site:
http://canta-per-me.net/yukis-vocalists/
First there are listed the jpop projects (Kalafina, FictionJunction, See-Saw, Chiba Saeko), and then the individual vocalists where you can also find info about the vocalists singing in the Soundtracks of Yuki Kajiura (mainly Yuriko Kaida, Hanae Tomaru, Yuri Kasahara, Eri Itou (or Itoh), Kaori Nishina, Tokyo Konsei) and other people she wrote songs for. ^^

Thanks so much for the information. I'll definitely put it to use.

Hi there! Another US member, and we are very close indeed! I am in Wisconsin, which isn't too far from Minnesota. (Although we dislike the Gophers, their hockey team, since we are avid Badger fans here, but we don't dislike people who live there) Anyways, welcome! I am Liana, or you can call me Lina as well (love The Slayers anime) I also went to ACen! Where were you seated at the concert? I was in the balcony in the very first row. I wanted to be there so I could see everyone's energy as well as a good view of the stage. I thought they did very well for being so nervous overseas. I got my 5th Anniversary book signed and gave them my Symphonia fanart of them! Wakana was so happy! I love Kala and all of Yuki's works, so let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy your stay here and post in the General section as well! :dote:

Wow! If you see a tiny speck of red just above and to the left of Koichi's head, that's my wig. I was cosplaying Sakura Kyouko. I had them sign the lyrics booklet from the Kalafina 5th Anniversary LIVE SELECTION 2009-2012 (this one). And in their panel I was one of the people to win a signed T-shirt. It was the last one though, so it's way too big for me. I'm glad to know I'm not the only Kajiura fan from the US on this website, although the degree of internationalism is one of the things that makes it a cool place, I think. I must say that I don't do very much with sports— I didn't even know that the Wisconsin team was called the Badgers. There aren't badgers in Wisconsin, right? I've never seen one...
