This ballad, Nohara, has a bit of Kalafina style; imo. Keiko and Wakana is an infallible duo. I like the song but I can't find the melody...

Thank you so much! I actually like Nohara more than Toki no Mukou. It was actually more pop-ish and didn't remind me of Kalafina at all. I agree though that Kaori/Wakana drowned out Keiko (as always) in the chorus. But even still, I'm glad Keiko got another (almost) solo song. And hopefully this one she'll actually perform live (since YK never added Kaze no Machi he to the lives).

時の向こう 幻の空 sounds like a Parallel Hearts clone with an extra guitar track. Yuki should have gone with George's Choir+Organ+Tokyo Konsei idea. 野原, on the other hand, is a great song and I love the chorus.

I still can't tell the difference between FJ and Kalafina. Uhh duuh...

I don't think there is a definite difference between "FictionJunction" and "Kalafina" songs - more like both projects have very different songs depending on the work they are linked to, while of course you can recognize Yuki's style in all of them. F.ex. there is a common style to the Kara no kyoukai songs, but storia or hikari no senritsu sound completely different imho, like folklore ^^;

The two FictionJunction singles for now sound similar as well, but looking at all the different FictionJunction songs I don't see that much of a resemblance.

The main difference would be that in FictionJunction Yuki Kajiura has a bigger "presence", while in Kalafina the 3 singers are the "main" (you never see Yuki in Kalafina's PVs or covers f.ex. and I think there are quite a few people who don't know Kalafina's composer xD )

anyway, i like Toki no mukou quite a lot better than Parallel Hearts and I don't think they sound that much alike at all, apart from both being Yuki Kajiura xD

Yes, at last Keiko! We don't hear her that much in Kalafina anymore
I actually like Nohara much much more than Toki no mukou, but maybe it's because of my huge love for Keiko

Nohara is beautiful, it does remind me of Kaze no machi e. heh Listening to the instrumental version now, i think i like toki no... better as instru, but it's still wonderful. I will have to learn how to play this as well as Sapphire on the violin. Would anyone like to see me play if I do? Overall I love the single, it's one of my favorites by Yuki and Fictionjunction. And the postcard is lovely too.

okay, it will take me a lot of practice for both songs, but I'll do my best. heh Nohara will probably take longer than Sapphire.
