Eh... Special K-san, you are from where, btw?

Depends on the context of the question. Where was I born or where I am now?

Answer to the second question: UK.

The night of the Red Moon...

Clouds and high winds, the two major factors affecting the shoot tonight.

The moon in all her glory. I do apologise for the softness of the focus. It was already set to manual and this is as sharp as this camera gets.

Any sharper and I'll require professional equipment.

Finally....

Tongue in cheek moment: Once in a blue moon, anyone? (It's actually due to the wrong WB setting.)

Wah~~~~ Beautiful Red Moon!!! What a nice pictures!

... Red Moon eh.... I thought I've seen something similar before...REALLY BIG, on my way back to my hometown... (how should I put this...... i don't know if you guys get what i mean but..but..something like sunset or sunrise....hm...) and I wasn't sure what it is that but I thought it was the moon since there's no moon at that moment... BUT... this happen less than 18 years ago.... now I'm not sure what it is anymore... haha!

@KONIcchi: It might have been the same thing as you've seen today! Moonrise on another perigee-syzygy night! Tonight's was a little special as it was the closest the moon had been to earth since the last 18 years. So...I'm not ruling out what you have seen to be an exact replica of the event today.

:ohoho: I should have said: "Where was the picture taken."

Nearly missed this.

Yup, these pictures were taken in Bristol, UK.

C-C-Cold night!!

Talking about colourful moons: Not actual but kinda a Yellow Moon on a cloudy nite.

:nophoto:

We should open a thread to post those kind of pictures.

I think our sky is too cloudy too, but I can try and hunt for it. heh Don't know if I'll be able to get good pics though.

:XD:

Nah...I'm fine if we continue posting here...

The moon normally looks yellowish-white anyway, as it reflects light from the sun.

I forgot that last night is the night where moon is closest to Earth and went to sleep....

:XD: That means you would have already missed most of the action, anyway (even before going to sleep). Since the moonrise is always the highlight on a perigee night.

>_< i was preoccupied with league of legends and totally forgot to even look at it :ohoho: but those photos are very nice :sohappy:

The photos are so awesome! I didn't see the moon yesterday, but like 2 years ago in the summer I saw a big full red moon too :dote:
