Glad that I didn't stand by for the NHK broadcast. It's so ... forgettable.
Plus they didn't get to talk. >=

I messed up the timing and was an hour late to today's show 「ヘッドホンおじさん CX」. If anyone has it... *nudgenudgewinkwink*

Do you still need it?

Nana wrote something about performance with Kalafina. Can someone translate it? Google translate is inaccurate

Kalafina

Yes, please. Thanks!

I'll probably finish up the radio this weekend if I can find the time. I realise that I seldom get it done if I announce it though. Lol.

I was annoyed that the emcee didn't direct any questions at kalafina too. It's rude and it probably makes kalafina feel even more uncomfortable being there. They're understandably small fry compared to the others but music fair was able to treat them as equals. Why couldn't they?

Nana apologised to Kalafina for messing up her part a little during their collab song together. You'll notice that she was late for her line gomennasai and started mid line with nasai. I found her recovery to be very fast though.

I forgot to mention that apparently they made changes to who sang what before the broadcast and so nana thought the line wasn't hers. I wonder who decides?

You have PM.
That was the first time they guested 「ヘッドホンおじさんCX」and Wakana is adorable from the start as usual.
DoThe Card Explosion segment! This and SCK were the more fun ones. ANI-ON

I think 東海ラジオ was the last of their goingonaradioshowsguestingspreeforFOTW.
3 out of all these have studio cam, granted the last 2 were unfortunately 手動
I missed the first one.

It's the opposite for me, I'm never going to get things done if I kept quiet about it haha.

Yes yes yes I'm even fine with him just greeting or asking Kalafina how was it being their first time on the show but NO.
None of that whatsoever.

They treat them differently and not in a good way. Look at how long it took Nana to be on Music Station.

The change in their parts doesn't bother me. It's not going to save the broadcast from being mediocre imo.

Nico and Music Japan TV is so much better.

@Insidia I think that Music Station have trouble understanding that music of anime is a broad, cooperative area of music (with some overlap into game music and more general J-pop) not under the control of a single company, based on when they interviewed me before Animelo Summer Live 2015.

will definitely be ordering. looking forward to stuff about see-saw. wonder if they will focus on her older or more recent soundtracks too?

Thats exactly why I'm considering purchasing this as well. The days of See-Saw were her glory days man. I'd love to know what she sought out as inspiration. *3*
I think she was pretty depressed during that time. She had just left her engineering job to follow an unstable music career so I bet she was really stressed out. The music was probably so amazing because she wrote each soundtrack like it would be her last.

Quite possible, when people are in that kind of situation it seems to bring out something rather special that you can't usually access. If I recall correctly, both the original Final Fantasy and Evangelion were 'this is the last thing that will ever be made unless something incredibly special happens' territory and look what happened there.

It would also explain why her soundtracks had such a dark tone to them. Not that her happy stuff isn't good; HtA is easily among the best works she's ever written.

Hm, well that definitely would explain See-Saw's early days but I meant like between 2001 and 2004. Like when she composed the Noir, .hack, and MADLAX soundtracks. I sincerely believe edge and Senya Ichiya are some of the best pieces she's ever composed.

Yeah, I was talking about those years too. Those scores are among her first anime soundtracks and she probably wasn't sure if she would ever get a chance to write music like that again. Now that she's more famous, she's gotten a lot more complacent and doesn't mind falling back on familiar tunes to fill out soundtracks for shows she doesn't particularly care about.

Oh, and edge and Senya really are among the best she's ever. I had the pleasure of hearing them for the first time this year and I was absolutely blown away.

Oh, I thought her first anime tracks were Kimagure and EAT-MAN so she would've been on edge back then.
And eh, I find it funny that I find the more familiar tunes on the soundtracks she actually DOES care for. The ones with the most variation I've noticed are Elemental Gelade and Sword Art Online. I don't even think she remembers everlasting song was for Elemental Gelade.

Interesting. I guess Kajiura's gets into a certain mood when she writes a soundtrack and everything she writes around that time shares certain similarities.
