Versions with Yuuka as the singer are better (obviously) but I like this version too. With a good job by Joelle and Lino Leia (even if I really like Yuriko and Hikaru for live versions with Yuuka). Maybe I'm a little weird because I also liked Silly Go Round for Kajifes 2023 :)

I liked her in KajiFes Silly-Go-Round as well.
I'm cool with the aikoi clip they used in the ykl21 bluray TVCM but the whole performance is too much of an oogly wobbly mess to me, as far as JUNNA's performance goes.

I am really curious to hear how Kajiura will use LINO LEIA's voice for her older songs since she's improved so much.

I am just glad that even naysayers (like I used to be at some point) are warming up to her. It was always just a matter of technique/mindset since she had a voice.

I wonder if the many vocal coaches in the group - Yuriko, Joelle, Kaori - helped her out. I am personally looking forward to leads from her - she just needs to be bring a bit more lead energy/drama/emotion/abandon to her vocal and stage performance.
 
Iunno what it is for me.

Based on this clip, it's like there's no direction to what Joelle is singing, no story in what she's trying to tell - she's just having fun at a karaoke booth. Loosey goosey. That's the complete opposite to what she's doing in her "fiction" lives for example. Iunno. We'll see - maybe I'll still enjoy the whole thing when I get it!

I would say Joelle is usually solid in these kinds of songs with her theatric/emotional take to melancholy lyrics, though in this case her bouncy movement (mirrored by Kaori) gives a different feeling to the song, not too melancholy. She's singing it straight out in the video cllp without much dynamics/word painting, and Kaori is supporting similarly. I am still looking forward to seeing the full version to see the development of Joelle's vocals in all the sections of the songs.

On the other hand, the clip is from the chorus of the song, and I don't imagine Joelle would be bouncing to the beat from the start or while singing the verses. Maybe they began to move during the final chorus after the bridge (with kajiurago) when they came back to the chorus (I hope so). I am also wondering who else is on the stage, since the Kajiurago requires Yuriko and maybe LINO LEIA?

Anyway, I expect Yuuka will take the song again during the "precious pieces" tour, so if there are any bad feelings she will return it to its roots. I think if she has two backing vocals for this song they should be Yuriko and Lino Leia, though I am sure Kajiura will mix up the chorus vocals depending on the song being performed.

- Yuriko was moving to the beat from the chorus stand.
- You need as least 3 singers and more so 4 to take this song.

Not for anything but the backing vocal bridge, which might as well be playbacked and isn't an issue with this particular clip, so I don't really agree you "need" that many singers on this song.

We'll see how the full performance is. I am slowly warming up to the clip after the initial "shock", except for the "yasashii te wo furi..." part. That part is still very much "why are we relaxing so much here?" for me, particularly with that loosey gliss... Maybe once I'm in the zone for the full performance, I'll enjoy it more.

But...when you have the vocalists to deliver why not use them? 🤔

From the clip, Kaori is doing, for Joelle, Yuriko's low harmony duo part with Yuuka in YKL4, so Yuriko is free to do the kajiurago live. It would be odd in my view to use playback for her voice in the Kajiurago when she's right there and can do it with LL.
 
Well, it's true that the chorused kajurago bridge can be played back with Joelle just singing the in-between solo part of it., and maybe Kaori singing along as well (since only Yuriko sang chorus for the entire song back in the YKL#4 performance, while Hikaru was silent but for the kajiurago section.

I think the bridge will be there, one way or the other. If they are to replicate the YKL4 two-voice kajiurago while Yuuka was singing, then Yuriko will be required with Kaori, while Joelle sings.
